I could definitely do rural. But I’ve only known suburbia and Urban. So it would be a bit of a change for us. Maybe somewhere in between suburbia and rural? I’m not sure actually. We like cities but damn do we love the country

They like tax payers. Especially the liberal ones who don't have a problem supporting the newly proposed heroin safe houses and approving taxes for light rail transportation that won't be here for another 8 yrs.

The area around UPS (university of puget sound) and Ruston is a nicer area. The gf lives next to UPS so Im there somewhat often. Decent selection of places to eat that you can walk to. Some pubs/bars. Ruston has had quite a bit of money pumped into it recently. The area used to be pretty rough but has cleaned up in the last 10 years or so. Around UPS youll get quite a few students and hospital people. Tacoma General and St. Joesph's are right there.

BUT if you have to travel north towards Seattle i would not move there. The I5/I705/WA-16 interchange area is a fing mess and has been for the last 20 years. And has been under construction that whole time too.

Look at bonney lake. There's places where you could be basically in old farmland with a 1 acre lot and be 10 minutes from everything. Puyallup has the same thing, almost.

EDIT: Examples. There's lots of places where you could find that.

On a side note, you can have 30rnd or even 100rnd mags for your AR/ak/Glock if they haven't already castrated you of those. But those are slowly being legislated out.

There's noting quite like burning a 100 round mag as fast as you can and then watching the barrel smoke.

Might want to look at a map of the sound transit tax. Last year the tags for my taco increased roughly $275 per year. The butthurt was strong with me.

Good luck. 20yr old houses starting in the low $400k around these parts and most if not all are presold if looking at new houses.

Would have to assume though it’s more irresponsible for me to stay in NY and go up from 13k in taxes a year when the possibility to move out west presents itself..WA on property tax alone appears to be upwards of an 8k savings. That’s just my quick math. I’m just at my wits end with NY

O youll probably save some money tax wise. I was just more going you seem to be unhappy withthe political climate and Seattle....opps i mean WA is pushing to be a much more taxed state. Sound Transit taxes, Tacomas "TBD" tax, pushing for income taxes, pushing for gun control, pushing for making the homeless live like kings while pushing out everyone else....

Just do your research first is all im saying :) Still a great place to live except for the whole I5 corridor from olympia to Everret scenery wise though!
