If you really wanted to retain it..all BSM is, is a little led with +/-. Mount an small universal amber LED behind the mirror glass and wire it to the 2 pins in the harness and it will illuminate when your BSM activates.

Looks like the correct one on a toyota site. Doesn't say if it has the mini convex built in. I would call and verify that before ordering so you dont end up with the same glass you already have. At that price it should have built in speakers too.

Hmm not sure I thought @mesojdm usually took the link down if he was sold out. He has said he will put another batch out sometime after the holidays when he gets some time to produce them.

It was a hassle to delete/re-link all the time. So now all my mods I offer have the paypal embedded link posted and if they are in stock it will let you checkout. Easier to just update the QTY in stock in my Paypal user menu and keep track of inventory. Sorry for the confusion:oops:

Looking art your build, very nice. I wanted to ask you about a couple items on your truck? The K&N CAI, did you notice and advantages to the performance after you installed it? The faux grill, where did you buy it from? My old truck had one on it that was a factory part from Gresham Toyota where I work at. I paid under $400 for it. I have seen them around from $140 to $269 in different places. I wonder about the quality? I want a deal but don't a cheap knock off that will fad in the sun or what ever!
Thanks in advance for your advice!

I am personally happy with the K&N. I would not say it adds in the hp so much as it aids in throttle response. Probably in the 2000 to 4000 rpm range. It is loud up front with stock exhaust. Since I added the Gibson exhaust the sounds are much more balanced. Regarding the faux, as well as the oem, Pro grilles I think it is too early to say how either will hold up to the sun and elements. I know my faux has a clearly deep rich black color from processing. I would suggest treating either grille with a plastic trim treatment with uv protection. I bought my 2 piece way back on page 4, of the faux thread, for $140 from grill-pro which was actually motorfansclub. It took around 12 days to arrive, from mid November, and it was flawless. Unfortunately there seems to be no guarantee of quality from a majority of recent sellers. The most important thing is to avoid any from Malaysia and do not buy the cheapest one you see. I suggest thoroughly reading the past 5 pages in the Faux Pro for $140 thread. Write down the sellers and write notes as you read. I hate to say it but it seems like quality and assembly type are hit or miss. Go for either a 1 piece or 2 piece grille. Ask the seller questions so you have ammo in the event you do not get what the seller promised. I can only speak for the one I bought roughly 6 weeks or, most importantly, 130 pages ago. I was very very fortunate.

You make it such an easy solution. Thanks. However, I don't even miss not having BSM. Never had it before and my 3 other vehicles don't have it.

Thanks for the advice, when you did both intake and exhaust you didn't notice any HP gains, just better throttle response in the anemic 2 to 4k rpm range? I am looking at the TRD factory CAI and Exhaust systems for about $1200 installed by my service dept. Thanks for your response!

Sorry, new to social media. Was into it when I was scheming and stalking my wife, after I scored her hand in marriage social media became a burden. Didn't want any old GF's coming out of the wood work and causing issues with my very protective wifey! I let her do that crap until I got my Taco's, so sorry for the double post a few lines down!

I would say the combo did add horsepower but not the 30+ hp that other vehicles, more precisely other engine types, will produce. I only paid around $440 for both and installed both myself. The exhaust is very easy and, if you are not mechanical, I would pay a friend $100 to do the install no matter which brand cai and exhaust you purchase. The only true way to boost the hp on these engines would be with an ovtune for around $700. They are factory tuned for mpg. Not performance. I would not spend $1200 for those 2 items. To me the results are not worth that much money. For what I spent I feel like it was well worth the investment.

Got mine installed. Nice clean look. I was thinking they would have been brighter. But it's an improvement over the originals
