I never understood why all car manufacturers transitioned from using the "4WD" terminology to "4x4". Even Toyota is guilty of it nowadays.

 

Just throw tips in the guitar case.

 

Marketing I'm sure, that and the introduction of AWD coupled with peoples' already dwindling attention to detail probably made it too confusing.

 

Maybe has to do with selectable 4wd? Who fucking knows..

 

I hate that they got rid of transfer cases that you can actually shift physically with a shift knob. The 4WD selector knobs on modern cars is so underwhelming.

You're right! I was hired as an intern so I could make money while student teaching - that's not as easy with other subject areas. I fell into it as an aide back in 2010, but I found I like it and changed from the general ed program in school to special ed. The small class sizes and focus on the students' learning ability are two things I like about the job.

In truck land, I got my sexy painted valve covers and most of the wiring harness put back in - looking more like a running motor

Anyone here good with super chargers? I installed one tonight and it doesn't seem to agree with my truck at all. Everything was running perfect before the install. When I started it up after it idled at like 3k fine, dropped to 2k and started sounding super rough, dropped to 1k and sounded like it was misfiring like a bitch and then it died. All vacuum hoses should be in their proper places. I unplugged the MAF to see if that was fucking with it and it did the same cycle as before but stayed a bit smoother and longer at the 2k range.

Sounds like you have a massive vacuum/boost leak somewhere and pirate air is getting in.
