    Hey guys,
I'll try to keep this short but I recently purchased some retrofit projectors from Kustom54lighting. They are the morimoto d2s's and I love the look of the housing. After installing all the supplied items: housing, bi-xenon harness, and ballast (ignitors and bulbs were already attached to the housing) I'm getting no light from the drivers side and 1 out of 20 light offs from the pass. I've metered all the way to the output of the ignitor and getting 200+volts while quickly stepping down the almost 0 volts. Getting a consistent 12v from the harness. I overnighted a new set of d2s bulbs and they won't light off either.

Any further feedback or trouble shooting ideas woukd greatly be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance

Yea I have swapped 3 different ballast through them. I have hid fogs and the headlight ballasts connected to the harness will light off the fog lights every time.

I have and he suggested a new harness and would call me back yesterday and never did. Just trying to cover my basis before packing them back up for return.

if you are getting the correct 12v from the harness then it sounds like the ballasts are bad. hook the lights direct to the battery and see if they light up, if so then those are fine and your problem is someplace else.

If the ballasts are bad would they still be able to power my fogs? I got the provided ballasts to run the fog bulbs perfectly. Either way I'll try anything at this point.

New igniters and ballasts arrived today. Installed them and now have functioning lights. Just wanted to follow up for future troubleshooting of members.

FYI just because you are getting power to the output if the igniters doesn't mean the bulbs will fire.

You aren't going to be able to test an igniter with a simple voltmeter. Period. So don't rely on that for any troubleshooting.

The only way to know for sure which part may be having issues is to swap two of the same part from side to side. When the issue follows the swap, you've found your part. Then the seller can take care of you under its warranty.

Super easy process if you just knock it out in one fell swoop.

I feel confident he took care of it under warranty. He had me destroy the replaced parts and send him pictures of the serial numbers. It's good to know that you can't test the ignitors for future trouble shooting.[/QUOTE]

Yes sir, the field destroy is the easiest way to do this. No sending the parts back, waiting on them to be tested, etc. Just troubleshoot, field destroy, wait on replacement(s).

Can you post up some more pics? Maybe a straight on pic. Trying to decide on shrouds and a paint scheme for my retrofit. Thanks
