Considering these two vehicles noted are rather high on the overall sales volume, I'd say stick to what was working keep the gravy train flowing.

Exactly... they are designed for the truck as it is and it's well suited for most users. If you are putting HUGE tires on it, then you may want to look at disc brakes, but then that is due to you making changes to the vehicle that was not intended in the original design. I would guess that the percentage of people making enough changes to require disc brakes on the rear end would be in the low single digits and most of them are probably on this website.

This is the type of post that mods need to crack down on. OP clearly has an agenda and lives in close proximity to major public works. Check the post history of OP if you need proof.

Drum brakes are used on heavy industrial equipment all over the globe.

Disc brakes are great for heat dissipation if you're taking your Tacoma to track days and racing against M3's, but is that what you bought it for?

I'd imagine that you do have it worse with salt..... a little WD-40 or Kroil might help. I do try to clean things up a bit when do my service inspections hoping to avoid issues when I get to the higher mileages. I've done plenty of drums on high mileage cars though... they are all kinda the same.

Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
    OP,

Stop the habitual trolling/shit talking in the 3rd gen section.

    Thanks,
