Wow, I finally did it. I just finished reading through this entire thread lol. I've been reading through, page by page, for the last 2 or 3 months when bored or during down time (like right now) at work. So many awesome trucks in this thread! I have so many ideas of what I want to do to this truck in the future, I have no idea where to start though.
I have been a member on this forum for a few years, but have not been very active until the last few months. I own a '99 1st gen single cab 4x4 5 speed, as well as this Inferno! I had been wanting a new Tacoma for a long time, and in August I randomly went to my local dealer with a VERY specific build in mind, and found her at another dealer 150 miles away! After a dealer trade, (and a very rough 3 day wait lol :D) she was in my driveway. This is my first ever brand new vehicle, so I wanted it to be fully loaded with the premium tech and all that stuff.

Oh, and it does look awesome in the AZ sun! When this pic was taken back in August, the sun was shining more on the driver's side so the passenger side isn't quite as bright

Don't you have the LED daytime running lights? I think if you put the headlights to auto, then the headlights come on when they sense it's dark out, but the LED daytime lights will always be on. Going through the etune system setup, you can set how sensitive you want those darkness sensors to read.

No, you can only touch the drivers door to unlock. You can set such that all four unlock with the driver door touch, but you can't touch the passenger door to unlock.

Yes. This is normal. I'm not 100% sure what is exactly making the noise, but it's parts moving to try and discern whether the wheels has traction. It's the crawl control brain thinking.

I really need to take the user manual to the throne and do some reading. I know I have auto high beams. And of course the 'international symbols' for all the various light functions really aren't easily decipherable.

Did you find the dimmer switch? Rotate the trip A and B post for dim. There are also some settings in the touch panel as I recall.

Crawl control is loud. Cement or sand.

I have gotten used to unlocking my fiance's door with the fob. A sensor would be nice.

Compared to my vette, the hood is short!

Good time to clean out the garage. Before hail season.

Love how our infernos change color depending on the lighting. Don't see that as much with the other tacoma colors.

I've seen my truck look red, dark orange, light orange and almost bronze depending on the lighting, it's really cool. too bad most cameras wont pick up the differences our eyes can.

Dang, I love my BBP but looking through this thread inferno looks hella nice too. Makes me question my choice a little bit, not all the way, but a little bit. They're like nacho cheese Doritos Locos.

I think all the metallic options are nice, and BBP was my second choice. I just try to do a color I've never had before each time we buy a new one. Plus how often do you get a chance to have an orange truck?

I started out blue, then flipped to white, then ordered a magnetic gray and then saw the Inferno and black interior with the orange stitching! and that was it!
Ended up really pissing off my salesman:thumbsup:
