The base is good. Really helpful but you can also use any sort of recovery board.

Hopefully no broken axle shaft or anything.

^If they are as tough as my Huskyliner front flaps (on my truck for 6 winters and dragged over rocks in Ardbeg), they will last a long time in your footwell.

I hear you guys about the cold! Brrr

Truck has never let me down until this morning. So, I work night shifts in the medical field, and we don’t have plugs accessible for staff for block heaters. I run full synthetic in the winter to try and help, but I think my battery is tired and just wasn’t up to the task this morning.
Anybody have recommendations for a really good battery to replace my stock one? Is it possible to size up without having to modify the battery tray too much. Good CCA a must for those night shifts. I don’t want to get in that situation again.
    Thanks in advance!

Works for rear axle. Doesn't quite work for front. Not many places to use it and on the frame it's not quite low enough to get to the highest hole and the middle one you can get is still like 2 inches of the frame.

I have it and can barely get a wheel off the ground. At full lift it doesn't lock for the stand option.
I have one if you want to try it

I honestly would get one from canadien tire. 5 year warranty for under $300 for a sealed battery.

I have gone with pricier batteries and I’m done with it. My second battery is the canadien tire one. They’ll replace it no problem at all within 5 years.

Welp, I've ordered mine already. I'll see if I can make it work. I usually put a piece of 2x6 wood between the frame and the jack to avoid damaging the undercoating.

My floor jack with the same 21" lift height has no problem lifting the truck by the frame. Maybe the difference is a continuous lift range without graduations.

    You guys overthink this shit.

    ^^^^
This... I have a several jacks and always block them...

My truck doesn't fit in the garage, so I use 3/4" ply underneath the jack on gravel and 4x4 chunks on top.... then use jack stands on pieces of true 2x16 rough cut plank.

I’m thinking for Offroad though. Not the driveway. Needs to be easily stored and safe on rough ground. Hi lifts are sketchy but very versatile. A bottle jack I think would be good to have.

I have the same jack as @KenLyns and it works great (it’s a big red though). Issues is it’s huge to take Offroad.
