Yes. Not much. However, the more your suspension cycles, the more you will have to trim.

Skinny 33s will fit fine. I run 255/85/16 with no problems. I haven't trimmed anything off, unless you count going to low profile mud flaps. My last tires were 33.5" actual measurement. No rubbing. My new ones are 33".

I have 887s with OME 90000 shocks, top plate spacers + 1/4 driver trim packer and some extra mass - Aluminum bumper+ full skids, winch w/synthetic line and sliders. After about 25K I have just about 2.5" front lift with this setup. Dakars out back.

Spend the coin up front and get UCAs.

Most folks want the wide 33 you were talking about, but I like to chime in with the pizza cutter option. All of the benefits without the hassle.

If I get the OME do I need the top spacer? I don’t want the back end lower than the front.

Im also a big supporter of the pizza cutter option :D

They fit a lot easier than the wider 33's but my 255/85 16's still required a decent amount of trimming for full stuff clearance!

Ill chime in here as well... So a lift will give you a better static (sitting on level ground) clearance of your tires, but when the suspension is flexed and a tire is stuffed into the wheel well you will have the same clearance issues of a truck that doesn't have a lift. So either way you will be trimming plastic liner and cutting the cab mount if you want maximum clearance with minimal rubbing. Also getting a proper alignment is key, in my experience having the caster set to the proper position afterwards made a bigger difference than any of the trimming did (minus the cab mount chop).

I’m asking because I have read multiple forums and everybody says something different.

    285's are worth the cutting!!

    3573970B-624A-449F-9129-80345780A371.jpg

I had to do the following:

    - Remove the front mudflaps
    - trim the lower portion of the fender where the flaps mount
    - trim the lower fender
    - CMC
    - remove the fender liners
    - beat the pinch weld

    ...and I still f*cking rub!!!

That's because you get guys who say they don't rub on 33s, but they never stuff the tire into the wheel well... AKA mall crawlers.

It's possible to fit 33s with no rubbing...if you never go offroad to flex your suspension.

Tis the reason I still run my 265/70r17s. One day I'll jump up to the 255 "pizza cutters" to avoid alot of the hacking.

    If no limit get
Ext. Travel Coilovers and new UCAs to get more strength/better alignment. Beats bilstein 5100's, OME type coil lifts and spacers

Disclaimer: coilovers might ride harsher on road but off-road performance will be superior
