New truck, not new to Toyota's

I recently bought a 2016 Tacoma SR.
I am keeping my 2000 Tacoma SR5 that I've had for 16 years, for a while, at least. I've had Toyota pickups for the past 30-ish years.

I found this site in a search to find out about remote keyless entry for my new truck. I was told the SR doesn't have that option, and I'd have to go aftermarket to have something installed.
In reading the posts, looks like a common question.

I'm curious as to why they don't have the keyless entry option on a vehicle that you cannot unlock the passenger door without going to the drivers side first.
This is my only frustration so far. Other than that, I love my new truck!

I drive a lot on the weekends for dog sports with my three heathens, and it's a pain to pull their crates out every time I want to haul something in the truck, so once I get the canopy for my new truck, and move the crates over to it, I will have my old truck to haul stuff.
I'm not the original owner on either truck, I'm 2nd owner, but previous owners had them less than 2 yrs.

I had heard they didn't make manual transmissions in the Tacoma's anymore, I was very happy to see that they still do! Both of my trucks are manual.

Very nice! I looked at 4 doors, but didn't want the payment that comes with it.

I grew up around German Shepherds, so they were my favorite by default, until I got my first Belgian Malinois, now I'm converted. LOL

Malinois are way more work than any of my previous dogs, but they're a lot of fun!
