I might potentially be interested depending on what vehicle I get in the next week or so. I hit black ice and rolled my 4runner :(. That seems like a fair price for the set with the miles though. When I still had my Tacoma I was at about 40k on the tires and would have needed new ones before this winter

Damn that sucks. I learned how to drive in Texas so black ice is fairly new to me. I keep hearing horror stories about it lol.

Probably going to be changing out the wheels end of next week so let me know.

Hey guys, my 06 RC was in an accident on 12/20/17, total loss, (not at fault, hit in an intersection by someone with a suspended license).

Geico wont give me more than $107 for my leer canopy...ugh. So I told the claims adjuster I'm going to pull it off. Is anyone on here looking for a Blue, 2nd gen leer, 6ft bed.

I'm going to get another 2nd gen with the insurance money I think, but the color won't match. I thought about maaco but I'm thinking it might be easier to sell and start over. I thought I would get some ideas from here before I turn to Craigslist.

Does anyone know going rate for a leer? Canopy world told me $1419 base price. I got mine with the truck.
Are they unique to 2nd gen or do they fit on Frontier, Rangers and 1st gen?

    Thanks

Oh an FYI the salvage price is $3400 and there is frame damage.
Geico offered $11700 for the truck with 60k miles.
Not planning to buy it back but it did cross my mind.

Okay! Yeah, I'm usually super cautious of it but the rest of the road hadn't been icy... and I should have something by next weekish. Still waiting on my insurance but bad timing with the holidays and whatnot

Going rate for a good condition Leer is usually $500-1000, depending on options (roof rack, carpet lined interior, etc.).

If it's not the same color as your new truck, it's usually cheaper/easier to just sell it and buy a new one that's the right color.

If it's a Tacoma-specific model canopy, it will only fit a second gen Tacoma, though it would probably physically fit on several other trucks, it won't line up quite right.

Would love to get some of my extra parts out of the way for the new year.

Edit - forgot to mention these are from my '17 TRD Sport.

-Stock TRD Sport suspension (front springs/struts and rear shocks). $150.
-Stock 17" tire that was on the spare (not the wheel). Finally switched out to match my KO2's and hate to look at a single new tire. $50
-Stock TRD Sport leafs with Icon AAL installed (switched to OME Dakars). $150.
-Stock fog lights. A frosty six pack.

    Cheers.

Sorry - keeping mine (it's also an MGM). Just have the take offs from the suspension and the fogs.

Sounds good. I want to say I paid $200+ for the AAL from headstrong, so it would definitely be cheaper than that. I had the AAL installed so I wouldn't have to mess with it (and I didn't have time). Obviously if you did it yourself you wouldn't have to pay for the install. Not sure what, if any, difference there is between sport and OR leafs?

Well.. the transition to full-size diesel (went with the Ram 3500 HD with AISIN transmission) complete, I have a some Tacoma parts that are looking for a new home. I’ll try to get pictures today.

Here are some of the parts from my 2015 TRD sport DCSB 4x4 I have:

Stock TRD sport suspension including leafs (17k miles)
All-Pro pack rack (powder coated MGM) with 2 accessory bars in great shape
    DCSB bedmat
Rotopax (2gal gas and 2gal water)
    MGM front bumper with fogs

There might be more but they aren’t in front of me.

Hit me up if interested and I’ll get you photo.
