Yes, you could also ship it once purchased. You can probably ship it for $700-1000 depending on distance.

Do you happen to live in Colorado? I think your wife posted here when you guys ended up finding yours and driving it back to Colorado. I have the other white TRD Pro manual in Colorado.

There are a total of 56 2018 Manual Pros scheduled to be produced or already produced in the us.
Of those, only 16 are white.
There are NONE on the ground, 2 currently being shipped and 14 that will be manufactured in the next 3 months.
Closest one to us in SoCal is on its way to Peterson Toyota in Boise, ID and should be on the ground between 1/6/18 and 1/10/18

Well at first I thought I just followed the "rules" (call local dealership, get on list, wait). Then I came on here after I received my truck and found out how lucky I got.

    Went like this:
Read up about the new 2016 Tacos. Decided I was going to buy one but only the Pro model (won't go into details about why). Searched online and found out the 2017's were going to come with a Pro option. Held out until then. When the 2017's released, I read more info that the TRD Pro's were still a few months out from being released to the public (information, etc...). Waited a few months then started contacting dealerships around Colorado. Put my name down on various "lists". Got on Mountain States list and simply got super lucky. I told them I wanted a Super White 2017 TRD Pro MANUAL. About 3 months later, I got a call saying "Hey, we just got a a TRD Pro Super White M/T in. Are you still interested or should we offer it to someone else". I Just answered every question they asked me with "yes". About a month later I was driving home with the exact truck I had wanted.

The other person here in Colorado with the White TRD Pro M/T posted their experience. Isn't quite the Cinderella story I have. Apparently, they were also on the wait list at Mountain States. I was simply higher on the list. They ended up flying/driving out to NC and driving the truck back the 1000+ miles. Wow, I got SUPER lucky. Point being, get on local lists and start calling out-of-state. I was willing to have mine delivered from out of the state. If you're prepared to do that, call every big Toyota dealership in every state and get on their list. Tell them how serious you are about buying the truck if it shows up.

Also, just so you know how dealerships aquire the TRD Pro Tacomas... it's based on their Tacoma sales. For however many Tacoma's they sell, they get shipped a random TRD Pro. Could be any color and will most likely be an A/T. You can't actually order a TRD Pro. It's a luck of the draw.

Ok guys so I just called Boise Idaho. They said they cannot order for someone outside their region. Some new rule for Toyota. So I'm stuck here! Ugh it's hopeless

The Boise Idaho lady was ready to order me one until I told her I live in SoCal. This whole thing is so confusing!

The dealerships were saying the same thing when the 2017's came out. Take her "offer" with a grain of salt. However, take her up on her offer as long as you don't lose out on anything. If 2018 TRD Pro's are handled the same way as the 2017's, there is no way any dealership can order one. They can offer to trade inventory with another dealership but that's it. Dealerships don't usually trade away Tacoma Pro's as they're sold within days if they have't already been spoken for. When I went to pick mine up, there was another Pro right next to mine and they both already had owners.
