I am going to install the 9000xl package this week hopefully and wanted to know what people thought about them. I've read and watched a fair amout of reviews on the shocks themselves but not many off road tested reviews.

If any has them or has had them, I'd like to know your opinion!

I installed a set of those on my 2007 Jeep Wrangler 2 door. Major improvement in ride over Rancho 5000's that was on the vehicle when I purchased it.
Will go to these when stock shocks give up the ghost.

I only have the Rancho 9000s on the rear end and I have Bilstein 5100s on the front.

The Rancho 9000s aren't really an off road shock. They are a twin tube which I bought to help with towing and heaving loads on the freeway to reduce sway and keep it more stable. If you want an off road shock, I'd recommend the Bilstein 5100s which is a very nice off road monotube shock.

Sure, they're fine, but for offroad the Bilstein 5100s are better.

i had the rancho 5000's too and the night i replaced them to the 9000's i noticed neither of the rear shocks would even rebound! and one was leaking fluid from the top!!! they were toast.
