I would think 4.88’s would be fine I have heard the pinion gear on 5.29‘s can be a weak point.

 

Yeah I heard the same thing.
I have twelve flanges with twisted pinions in them hanging at my presents place. It's a trophy wall.

I’m running 35’s with a 22r/5.29s and it feels over-geared...

So size a tire up!

Fellas.....I'll be doing a epic Griswold type road trip this March....plan on going through Arizona, NM, Texas, OK, all along I-40.
then we'll be returning through Colorado, Utah, NV back home to California along I-70.....We'll be using our rooftop tent alot if possible, trying out our first trip with it camping in it in free land use areas otherwise known as "boondocking" i guess.....any tips for places in Joshua Tree, Sedona, Colorado, Utah, NV? also any tips on what i should think about, prepare for, bring, etc as I will be new at the rooftop tent game. There may be a post about this already, but i didnt find thanks in advance for any info guys!

We could do that. Couple of relays; lights would come on whenever you are in reverse or when the switch is on. Fairly simple, just time-consuming to do neatly.

 

Well, not to let everyone down, but........
It's just a indoor grow tent that I have for growing super-hot peppers. I've got seeds for quite a few varieties; Carolina Reaper, Trinidad Scorpion, BBG7, Thai Hot, Guamanian Boonie, JPGS, Chinese 5 Color, etc... Most are much higher than Habanero on the Scoville scale.

I grow most of my pepper plants in a Kratky-style hydroponic method.

Here's an outdoor hydroponic experiment I tested. It's getting too cold up here for the plants to survive though.

I am going to start my tomato plants, and other plants that will be transplanted to my outdoor garden this spring too. I wanted to have them already started, but life happened.



Minus the fan and power strip, I'm all set for the install of goodies...
