Better late than never.

 

While I was out and about today doing errands I felt sorry for the TACOMA and took it to the car wash , didn' want to keep the ice treatment from the Hwy there till spring and this car wash also does the frame.
I feel better the truck looks better . At least it doesn't look like a dirty marshmallow parked in the driveway.

I have been trying to figure out which spark plugs to get and when to install them this season. I live in a condo complex so doing your own work on the vehicle is "frowned upon and very cold. I need a heated garage at my next place lol.

 

Have any of you guys tried any of the LED headlights and fog light bulbs that are for sale on Amazon? Did you find any that might be worth it or be better to stay away from? Im also looking at swapping out my fog lamps for yellow ones.

I went with LED headlights from csjumper, who is a vendor on TW. I'll be honest with you. Any LED light you go with and use the OEM headlight is going to "blind" peeps because they just throw the light out everywhere. They are super bright though, don't get me wrong. They lit up the whole dam road when I had them.

Same for the fog light bulbs. Went with stuff from csjumper.

I had them until I replaced by headlights with retrofits. I took the bulbs off, and gave the housings away. I was having an issue with one of them, it was flickering a bit, so I ordered another one to replace it. And on one of them, both "rings" were always on, meaning, the one for the low beams and the one for the high beams was on at the same time. The guy hooked me up and when I bought one as a replacement, he gave me a bit of a deal on it. I never got around to buy another replacement for the one that had both rings on at the same time, since by the time I noticed it was happening I was already waiting for my retros to come in.

For the fogs, you can probably just buy the plastic film and "wrap" the fog light housing itself. That should give it a yellow look. I know @tgriff did something like that for his fogs, so maybe he can give you some input/advise on that part of it.

There was this forum going on about iridium plugs for longer life. ended up going with this guys recommendations:

seemed to work same as stock when i fired it up and drove it a good bit yesterday headed down to brooklyn.

Its a fairly easy parking lot job. just do it when its light out and in the sun. there are some forums around that i found also the other day that showed how to access the drivers side plugs. basically you just gotta move some shit outta the way. good luck!

Be prepared, they have already said the Nat Gas Grid In CT could collapse if we have sustained severe cold weather like 3-4 years ago. Lots of new customers added and no new supply infrastructure.
