    Can't beat local. With that said, I'm in WA and bought a set from Mobtown. There was a post way back by Joe that described why the gussets are not centered on the outrigger tubes. While I'm in software now, in college I spent quite a bit of time on mechanical failure analysis. My training tells me this was a considered design and pretty much sold me. I couldn't be happier with mine.

    I have Pelfrey. Satin and Tyler are really good people.

    If you want to shop with a conscience support local when/where you can.

    @Mobtown Offroad,

    $100, ok, will consider. But the question still stands as it's unclear to me what the answer is. From this image, it looks like there's a bit of room to spare, 2" maybe? So leaving an inch of clearance to rocker would raise the top plate an inch? It's just hard to tell if it's limited by the gusset welds or attachment design.

    Thanks

    I'm not sure I know specifically the case you are referencing. We deal with 1000's of orders. Occasionally, we mess up. But we do our best to be on the up and up for everybody. There's a lot that can go awry in coordinating all the pieces it takes to fulfill an order. We aren't perfect, but we try damn hard.

    I didn't say that. But a story about one guy I don't think is worth even saying. Like all story's, there's always parts that were left out.

    All of the good shops are so far from me. Shipping plus the extra length for a DCLB keep me from impulse buying haha

    There was a guy in Portland that was making affordable sliders that had solid reviews but by the time I hit him up he had closed his orders.

    Are you asking us to raise the slider (step) 1"? If you want them flat, we can build them flat for the fee. But we will not raise them any higher because at that point they are almost the same height as they would be at 20 degrees and we also have them at the distances they are to accommodate for flex. All sliders flex, some more than others. We went through great measures to build a set that flexes minimally. But steel flexes, that is just how it is. There are engineering measures one can take to take flex out of it which we did but you will always get some.

    Workin' on it....
    If I lived that close to Pelfreybilt I would definitely go that route. The money you save on shipping bulky armor items between sliders, front and rear bumpers, skid plate set will likely end up being a few hundred bucks which can be put towards another mod.

    As someone else mentioned, mobtown is running a 15% off sale right now, so that combined with no sales tax may make up the shipping costs, making them cost the same. If cost is the same, then go mobtown because their sliders are pure beef.
