I got lucky in finding a Pro in the first place since I just started looking on Christmas day to see what, if any, were out there.

Have to first say that dealers that markup over MSRP suck and will never get my business (Any business. No accessories, nothing.). I don't even like paying list, but for a hard to find vehicle I will go against the grain and pay it (if I at least get a good interest rate). As a result there are a few dealers in the Seattle area I will never, ever consider for any vehicle. Asking $5k+ over listis absurd, and those paying it are idiots IMO.

Anyway, with that said, I was searching for inventory to see if any were available and found one about 130 miles away or so. I just happened to call about 10 minutes after the guy that ordered the truck was denied credit to purchase it (something happened to his credit in the interim), so I talked to their internet guy for a bit, letting him know I was pre-approved at TFS.

Took a couple hours after I got there, for reasons I don't understand, but I drove out with a new Cavalry Blue Pro. I didn't really love the color from the images I've seen, but it looks really good live.

Your truck looks great, I like that you don't have that Trd black wrap at the back of the bed that some of the Pros have.

Thanks! Yeah, I paid list ($44,882 :(), got a couple hundred off the platinum plan and got a bit more than I expected with my trade, so it ended up working out $$ wise.

Still hating on dealers that take advantage like that. I was convinced yesterday morning that I would have to place an order if I wanted one, and when I called to get pricing I was blown away that so many were doing this. That's why I started calling out of the local area and got lucky in finding mine, so I guess it was a blessing... I also found that, not only were none of the dealers outside Puget Sound adding the addendum, some of them were actually offended that I asked if they were adding it. They all pretty much thought it was as shady as I think it is.

I'm surprised no one has "objected" to this color or its namesake. This is the color of portions of the uniform worn by the Southern (and sometimes Northern) cavalry units during the American Civil War. With all the uneducated hooplah this year surrounding the Dixie flag, ESPN removing a football announcer of Asian descent from calling the UVA season opener because his name is Robert Lee, and some monuments of upstanding southern gentlemen erected by some detestable groups who commandeered rightful commemoration for their ill purposes, I figured Toyota would be too timid to release such a color with such a name for fear of idiot reprisals, but I'm glad they did because it is beautiful and provides a teachable moment.

But how do we know Toyota was alluding to that.
For all we know the designers googled "BABY BLUE COLORS" and this color popped up in the first window

It's a color from a Japanese company. Google Japanese military uniform colors. Lots of blue. Does everything have to be about US politics?

My entire post is a complete joke because I'm facetiously making fun of people who make everything about politics... btw cool bit about the Japanese mil uniforms; that's a new one for me!

LOL, sorry, I think I read it fast and was like, really? It's a fucking color! I was going to expound on the different colors used by militaries over the years, both US and foreign, but I kept coming back to it's a just a color!

Or all those gray Taco and black drivers closet Nazi's? I happen to know for sure that Super White owners are not angels, and I think cement drivers are not stupid (I hope, I don't know anyone with a Cement truck (pun intended)).

Nice. I'm convinced I'll never buy a new car around here again. I went to Yakima, so it was a bit of a drive, but not that bad. Got to visit some friends on the way back, so that was a plus as well.

I saw TRD pro 4Runner in cavalry blue. Can't say that I liked it.

The cement Pro looks amazing in person. I don't think cavalry blue is a good substitute

He is right though. We live in a crazy time where anyone can be offended by anything, and online slacktivist virtue signaling is the new pastime
