seems like a sweet gig to me. Ford can get him on the cheap, he's definitely not A-List, but he still speaks to the "truck" audience that he always seems to be after.

    good call on Ford's part.

+1. Starting with the hiring of CEO Alan Mulally a few years ago, Ford has been making a lot of good calls lately. Mike Rowe is a good choice as spokesman IMO.

I like Mike Rowe. If Ford offered me that job, I'd take it in a hearbeat! Doesn't mean I'll stop driving my Tacoma. Think about it. All that dough for shooting some commercials...sweet!!! Kudos to Ford for NOT borrowing government money. I think their campaign ads are strong. I don't like all their vehicles, but I think the F-150 is a nice ride. And just because I don't like all their vehicles personally, doesn't mean there is anything wrong with them. To each their own...

Before I purchased my latest truck, I was looking at Fords. It could have gone either way. They have had problems, just like every other auto maker. They have been putting a renewed push toward quality and design. It shows and they are getting recognition for it.

Knee jerk bashing of another company is as bad as the stuff Toyota has gone through in the recent past.

Ford is on the march right now. I will keep an eye on what they have to offer.

Yeah, he's been doing this for a while now. If I sell my truck, I'm pretty much set on an F150. Ford is a solid company IMHO.

    Seems like a great guy.
Anybody who puts up with the crap he does deserves a great job. Besides, everyone knows them full size Fords are the best trucks on the road. won't be long and they will replace the Ranger. We better all watch out then..
