    1. Hi there havingsome issues with my 2004 Toyota Tacoma 4 cylinder 2.7 liter
Recently the check engine light popped on and read cylinder 2 and 3 were missfireing.. I swapped coil packs in got cylinder 3 corrected
Cylinder 2 still is acting up..truck drives fine to me but when idling after 2 min or so starts to idle Rough
I swapped injector 1 with 2 and cylinder 2 still showing misfiring. I Also have power in the harness to the injectors light does periodically pop off but quickly returns no antifreeze in engine oil Either any help? Thx

Cleaning the mass airflow is good. Edit: You said it runs rough after sitting and idling. I am probably wrong but I had a problem like this in the past and it was the EGR solenoid but don’t take my word for it. Good luck, Man!

Check for vacuum leaks and change your fuel filter.

Verify if you are getting spark on that #2 spark plug/wire.

I p ut an ohmmeter on it and tested the plugs to the injector On cylinder 1 and cylinder 2 they both had the same number reading which I assume is telling me that both are getting an equal amount of currentI even switched injectors to see if I can get the injector to follow and move to cylinder one but it didn't ..even with a good injector Incylinder 2 it still misfire so I'm assuming it's not a injector issue??again I'm no mechanic just thinking out loud

Earlier this year, I was chasing a misfire on a Ford Ranger 3.0. I checked fuel pressure at the pump and also at the rail. I checked current at each injector as well. I listened to the injectors for ticking using a stethoscope from Harbor Freight. It wasn't until I pulled the injectors to check flow on each that I found that even though everything seemed to be working, one was not opening when I manually checked the flow on the injectors. (There are youtube videos on how to clean them using a carb spray cleaner and hose).

does it have coil packs or one coil? Id check the wire going to cylinder 2 and also get a pressure check on #2.

Yes coil packs.. I put a brand new one in cylinder 2 so that's out of the questionand pulled and injector from a good cylinder and put it into cylinder 2 and it's still acting up so I'm assuming it's not an injector issue I do however hear a sucking sound when the truck is runningI can't tell if I'm hearing the misfire In the catalytic converter or Manifold or am I really hearing a Vacuum leak?

This. Pressure check would be the next step to find out if you have a bad cylinder.

also any loss of antifreeze or oil mixed with antifreeze or oil in the antifreeze? If you are losing antifreeze could be a bad head gasket and losing pressure.

Worse case scenario anyone know how much to replace ..
    A bad cylinder?
    Head gasket?
Truck gas 235000 on it is it worth replacing ?or driving till engine goes and look for a new truck?

I've also been noticing an exhaust smell inside the cab when my Heats on or just in general iS this indication of anything?I know it's obviously an exhaust leak possibly manifold would just throw up cylinder 2 misfire
