Yeah we are dying without the snow!! We have still got a couple good days of playing in it but it’s no even close to last year. If you ever want to test the capability of your trucks in deep snow feel free to join us on our runs. We always post up on our Instagram @centraloregonlandcruisers or on our Facebook group/page. Doesn’t matter if your super built or not we love getting people out there and get them familiar with the capabilities of their vehicles.

One of these days I'm gonna hafta go out with yuze guys. In 2012 I was on a snow run up around Carson, WA. We were on 6 ft of snow. It was a great day. That was the day I learned about bubba rope.

I'll also have to make it out, most of my adventures are solo so it'd be cool to join a group.

Ditto. Life seems to be getting in the way of scheduled runs. Most of the time it ends up being, "today I'm going to......" so I pack the truck and leave. Last time was on the 18th when I went Bigfoot hunting in ne Oregon, blue mtns.

Most of our runs are planned a day or two prior to running (unless it’s a big run such as Moab, rubicon, obdr, etc). Also it’s pretty much every weekend

    Did you find Bigfoot?

Awesome! Will a stock rear bumper recovery point do the trick or do I need a receiver hitch d-ring shackles?

Is the recovery point on the actual bumper or on the frame? I prob would shy away from it if it’s on the bumper. If your really burried it could easily tear your bumper off.

They're two flimsy hoops that attach to the hitch, I think it tearing off is a safe assumption.

Just finished my first taco, in SW Bend. Suspension specialties did the 4.88s and it is so much better.

No Andre, didn't see BF this trip. The primary purpose of the trip was for a job interview in enterprise so I took a few extra days. Secondary to that is I've decided to create a book about abandoned spaces (e.g. old farm houses, barns, ghost towns etc.) so I'm traveling the back roads and trails around WA, ID, OR, UT, WY. Being unemployed has it's pros/cons. Happening across BF is always a bonus.

Regarding recovery points: I wouldn't pull on a stock bumper. I accidentally backed into a tree at 1mph and had a huge dent. My new 4xinnovasions bumper is nice but only has 4 bolts to attach. I worry about hanging stuff of my bumper....like my spare tire. I don't know why they designed it that way. I'm considering just welding it on. I have some hd D shackles I hook to the frame to pull from.

That’s cool man, I’d buy that book. Maybe I should get my bumper ripped off, I’d like a fancy high clearance with a swingout. I currently have an At The Helm Fab front bumper on order so the rear will happen eventually, it’s just harder to justify.

    Back into something. Justified.

One day I'll buy the tire swingout that goes with my bumper. In the meantime I have my home made drop-down.

Stayed at home with a sick wife. Good thing I didn't see this bc I would be in trouble for even thinking about going.

Someone needs to take a grader to the first 5 miles of that road when the dirt starts. Washboard makes my truck rattle.
