Thanks for the info man! I'll put those suggestions on the list. A few of us are up for some more techy trail but the other two are fairly new to mountain biking so I'm trying to plan a good mix of everything. We'll probably end up splitting to ride different things within the same system and regroup at camp. Going to hit at least two camp spots maybe three depending on how occupied we keep ourselves. Klondike Bluff looks like it has a good mix and then I think moving south towards Captain Ahab will get us that tech fill.

This helps a ton, thank you! The Whole Enchilda is what I'm hoping for, I'll be okay with even doing a portion. So if you had to set up bascamp to ride south east/west of 191, where would you camp?

If you want to set up a base camp (for free):
#1 would be back in Willow Springs area. Very close to Klonzo, Klondike, Bar-M/Brand on the east and Gemini Bridges area on the west. Fills up fast...one of the last free areas reasonably close to town. Lots of RVs in the lower sections.
#2 would be back in the North Klonzo area. This is north of the airport east of 191. Pretty desolate out there. And quiet.
#3 = There are a few BLM areas to camp up on hwy 313 (heading towards Island in the Sky) that access Mag 7 trails easily. Pretty views. Fills up fast. Lots of deep-ish sand.
#4 = Most of the free stuff out in Kane Creek is gone, but there are some really cheap CGs with pit toilets. Very good town access if you're using the bike shop shuttles.

Moab gets super crowded in the Spring. Once you find a good base camp, I wouldn't plan on moving around unless you secure a new spot before packing up the old one.

The TW community pulls through again, I appreciate it

Utah has some of my favorite riding, pumped to finally check Moab off the list. After that week my girlfriend and I are heading to Kenab to do some volunteering at Best Friends. Going to detour and hit Gooseberry for a day on the way back to Oregon.

Anyone here ever go to Brown County State Park? I usually get there twice a year. Hopefully I have a new bike by April/May, have my eyes on a Kona. Just wondering...

I went last year in May and loved it. I will probably go back this year as well. The town is small but is a nice visit if you take the wife or girlfriend with you

I keep getting rained out in the spring, September and October have been awesome. The micro-brew scene there is pretty fun too!

We stow ours in an ARE shell with reflective curtains out of sight, locked to bed. In the southwest there are too many cases of bike theft, cutting the strongest locks with cordless cutoff tools.

    Welcome to Washington.

Tokul is great. within 60 minutes, make sure you try out Tiger, Raging River, Ollalie.... although can't guarantee there won't be snow at the top of these.

Anyone in Texas needs to hit up Big Bend Ranch State Park. Desert Sports maintains a couple of awesome trail systems. The Contrabando Trail has some great technical climbs and some fun fast descents. It's also part of a 50 mile ride they call the "Epic Ride" that takes you around the majority of the park. The airport loop is just outside the park about halfway back to Terlingua, TX. It's filled with about 30 miles of fun single track. Didn't get a lot of photos, too busy riding.

I like Kettle too. But my getaway is throwing my bike and tent in the truck and heading down to BCSP for a couple nights. I’ll stop and load the cooler with Yuengling on the way down!

Brown County SP has everything going for it. It's a mountain biking destination. Nashville is a cool little town too. The only place really comparable in WI is Levis Mounds.
