Are we talking in-coil spacers or above-coil spacers? I just searched the googles, so I'm an expert now.

I think it's more about where your wheel is in relation to the fender well when the suspension is fully compressed. With the spacer, your shock assembly bottoms out sooner. It restricts uptravel in that sense. You can't fully stuff, bro.

    Actual truck-related question. Look away.

Anybody got a part number handy for the 4 bolts (+nuts/washers) that mount the transmission crossmember to the frame? Shown at the bottom right of this:

they go above the shock there not pre load spacers there just spacers. so if you lower the shock body it has less room for the shaft to go up.

Probably all of them. The point is the spacer keeps your wheel from reaching the highest point (relative the the fender) in the compression cycle.

he is talking about pre load spacers not just spacers, I see his point now. they will still limit up travel as the coil will be the limiting factor if its pre loaded that much. And will ride like shit. I didn't catch he said pre load before but with only 4" of travel at the shock body you will loose travel with = amout of spacer to travel ratio or close to it. Tacoma coils are tight coils not much room for play.

pre load spacers will also loose all of your down travel. you will be riding on blocks basically. no down travel and little up travel. might as well just put solid pipe in there ,lol

Essentially making the coil shorter will reduce uptravel. Makes sense.

Technically, strobes are allowed during daylight hours on low beam. This bullshit with running at night with 1000 lumen lights should be enforced as a violation.

Speaking of clogging toilets, I just got home from a long delivery day and took a shit. Sat down at the computer to catch up on TW.

All of a sudden its, "WTF is that noise?!?".
Toilet is spewing out water, a standing inch on the bathroom floor, and leaking like crazy downstairs into my kitchen, living room carpet, and on my couch  :annoyed:

Damn you super burrito mojado

I'd appreciate that. Two of mine are all chewed up from jamming the skidplate back on without fixing this mess. Send hammers. :)
