Ha. I was mostly responding to OP's original post about Norcal Breweries.

But when I was in Yosemite last winter, I had a few beers at South Gate Brewing Company in Oakhurst. They had some good house beers and an even better guest tap list.

Went to el toro brewery in Morgan Hill on Sunday. Food was good, and beer was “ok”. Best beer I had was a sampler of a ghost chili ipa. Good but not as hot as they made it seem. Their regular ipa and Amber were just ok.

 

I’ll second SouthGate. Their Oak Town Brown is nice. And great fish tacos and wood fired pizza.

 

It’s new. (2-3 months maybe?)

Off the beaten path near Sonora is Standard Pour.

Sonora Taproom recently opened too. Downtown Sonora. They have 15 or so rotating taps.

 

Good to know of Taproom. Added to my list!

 

I ended up stopping at the Service Station in Jamestown on my way back. I got the pulled pork sandwich. It was delicious. I'm a sucker for pulled pork sandwiches.

I didn't stop on the way out. I only had one beer because I took my motorcycle. Usually I have zero beers on the moto. Speaking of which...riding up 108 on Friday night was F'ing COLD! I have a full Goretex Aerostitch suit with a base layer, pants, fleece and down jacket on, a neck gaitor, thick gloves and heated grips and I was still freezing my ass off. I'm definatly investing in a heated vest. Or maybe just not ride when it's 30 degrees out. I had to keep the speed under 70 to keep from freezing.

 

At least I would been warmer with Harry on my back (that sounds bad).

Tioga Sequoia

 

what day were you at Tioga Sequoia?

 

Tuesday night around 7:30 pm

I was on my way home from San Diego so I didn’t stick around. Ate some food I brought and had those two samplers and bought some beer to bring home.

Had one tonight. Pretty good

 

Just missed ya! I was there on the 21st and again last night! (to and from Fresno Airport, to and back from Utah)

 

It’s a cool venue. I hope to go back and spend more time there.

I could play the ring game for hours...

 

This isn’t from a brewery but super tasty.
