The thing for me, is after doing all of that stuff once (or twice for a lot of engine related stuff) it'll be a long time before I forget how things go, but it's sweet just grabbing something and having all the nuts and bolts pretty much in place and keep jammin. Especially since this has been the Gilligan's Island project - slated to take 4 weeks, now going on 4 months after getting busy with work and school.

Shouldn't be any lock washers. All the bolts are hex washer... The washer is part of the head. If they haven't been replaced somewhere along the way.

Yep... those are the ones. I was remembering incorrectly. They do have washers, but not lock washers. For some reason I remember them being hex washer.

But I am 100% certain the three across the front are 13mm (on mine anyway) and they are stock.

Here are some pics of my yota in its current state. Bumper replaced with trail gear. Added light bars. Custom bed rack with cvt tent and a high lift jack on the side. 3” lift with new BFg ko2. This was December 26,27. My father in law and I went on a little camping trip looking for mines. 38776F88-522A-4D6D-9389-831D085F4289.jpgB845C42B-0F05-48D9-BAD9-61367688C1E8.jpg ACF442E4-1C42-4019-84BC-67E7540636FF.jpg0318230D-2694-4EEB-8410-66BDE8D1A817.jpg B6C2DD8C-3B2E-4D6B-8731-694DE37C54A7.jpgE92E2B43-1DC9-4D0F-AADB-398CABBD7DC4.jpg

I have one to i sent it to Texas to get a performance tune. I installed it sometime I get to hear people and they hear me back. But I will think it’s off. Might take it to red monkey communications in Fresno when I go back home

Ok... here are my skid bolts. The washers should not be seperate from the bolts (if they are stock) and they aren't lock washers.

13mm across the front, the rest are 12mm.

Now, I don't know is something changed between a late 90s and an early 00s though.

Look at the top of them and see if you see any other bolts on your truck that look like them.
Maybe someone that worked on it replaced them, maybe when you had it aligned or something.

You are correct. And the bushing sleeves on Whiteline compared to stock are noticably better.

I read about the whole burning the rubber off the original cups sleeves and washers to do the Energy Suspension... thought "ya that's a big fat bag of nopes"

    VERY happy with the Whitelines.

I'm looking at the holes they screw into... and there is no evidence the mounting threads were re-cut.

And yes it has been aligned, but the front three have ALWAYS been a different size than the rest.

The bolts aren't anything to get worked up over. Just saying, mine have always been 13mm in front. Just telling it how it is on my truck.

I have had 6 of the 1st gen trucks, never seen 13mm on the skids or a bolt head that looks like the ones you are showing in the picture.

Im not worked up at all, you were just saying 13mm were stock and they are not. Don't want people thinking they need to find 13mm for the front for no reason, thats all.

I don't know what to tell you bro... maybe mine is a collectors item. But the front three bolts are 13mm, they don't thread like they were ever stripped, the mounting holes they thread in appear original, they have always been that way, and all three of them are exactly the same.
