Sealer stained black trim

Thought I was being carful but ended up getting some Meguiar's M21 Mirror Glaze Synthetic Sealant on my black trim here and there. Has since stained it white.

How can I restore it back to black?

 

Peanut butter and toothbrush.

I use the white eraser's above.. It takes more rubbing to get sealer off but it does work.

The aforementioned peanut butter will work, but it also leaves behind a smell that rodents are REALLY interested in. If you use it, rinse and seal the trim
with some other black trim product.

 

Aren't these trim pieces fairly cheap all things considered?

I guess try the peanut butter and whatever knowing that you can replace them at the end of the day.

I used a big pink eraser out of my kids school supplies box. Works pretty well. Erase the hell out of it, then rinse and dry the area. Repeat until all white residue is gone.

 

Isn't that funny how different things seem to work for people? I tried the pink erasers on white residue from paint sealant and it did nothing. Then I saw the video above that I posted. White eraser seemed to work with allot of rubbing. If a guy used nothing but Meguiar's Ultimate liquid wax he don't have to worry about it staining the black plastic molding.

The peanut butter thing really works. Messy, but usually "free" and works great.

Over the counter car detailing products, elbow grease and water will work too.

 

This is legit, no bullshit. Just don't use chunky

 

Try the eraser trick first.
