    Had a good day today, if anyone is ever down in Newport, you should check out the Newport Car Museum. They have about 50 cars inside, from all different years, and many different makes. Here are some cars I have never seen in person:

    This place had cars from the 1950's through now (there was a 2017 NSX). But the museum definitely focuses on older cars (there were at least 6 1960's Corvettes, and around 8 1960's Mustangs/Shelbys, including a Cobra 427).

    A bit late to the game but yes - I did upgrade the front brakes when I did them. I also swapped in extended lines for the front/rear (however extended for the front were not entirely needed since I went midtravel only). I did the whole thing about 15k miles ago and love it - much more responsive pedal feel as well.

    For the front setup I did the following
    Hawk HPS Pads
    OEM Toyota Rotors (I wish I went with some better ones now since I can feel a slight pulsing telling me that the pads might have been a bit too aggressive for the rotors and have warped them)
    OEM New Calipers (acetone'd and painted black to help prevent some rust... however it's slowly chipping off now - we'll see how well it holds up after the winter)
    OEM New Caliper springs and pad sliding shaft things...
    Motul Brake Fluid
    One way speed bleeder valves for all four corners
    Brake Quiet on the back of all four pads

    Full flush twice over through the entire system. I tried to use an air bleeder but it just didn't want to work so I did it the old fashioned way with a buddy pressing down the brake while I bled it. Use a hose on the bleeder nozzle or it'll just eat away any painted stuff it contacts...

    Technical Question for you guys...
    I have a Doublecab Shortbed and both the rear ebrake lines are either snapped or seized (confirmed this by checking for movement with the drums off and nothing even after full adjustment)....

    I was thinking.. with the lift I have the ebrake lines do get a bit tight at full extension... My thought was what if I bought the DoubleCab LongBed rear ebrake cables... that would give me a bit more length (TWSS?) for full droop right?

    Now to figure out what all these descriptions mean...

    Trying to read all of the descriptions, it seems like the DCLB ebrake cables are about 10 inches longer than the DCSB/ACLB ebrake cables. I would probably stick with the stock length cables.

    Ferd showed its first signs of weakness today. We were at my parents, packed up and getting ready to leave. I went out to start the truck and noticed some fluid underneath and not frozen. Moved the truck and realized it was coolant and then noticed it was now dripping rather quickly from the truck. Spent the rest of the afternoon running around getting parts, got it fixed and just made it home (we were supposed to be home by 4). Turned out to be a leaking T fitting, or a bad O ring in the fitting. Thankfully, this happened at my parents’ place where there’s a heated garage to work in.
