I'm hearing this year's shot is about 20% effective.

The shots are made up of the 3 most prevalent strains from the year before....2 A strains, 1 B strain. It's basically an educated guess.

Unfortunately there many flu strains and they mutate easily. So some years the shot is not very effective. Some years it is

Flu shot wouldn't help much if that's what it is. It takes about 14 days for your body to develop antibodies has a reaction to the dead virus in the shot. :(

Eddie....it's Friday. I don’t know what day that is in Metric. But it's still your day to make sure the door stays locked.

I was at years 1 and 2.... ! Getting back into drag racing again, from the seats anyway.... Bo Buntner (2017 NHRA Pro Stock Champ) lives real close to where I grew up. I've been following his career.

His fever dropped to 99 before I left for work. I also heard Mario Brothers coming from his room, he’s feeling good enough to play video games.

And so it goes... At work. Just for a while. I decided to come in just to make sure all the TV's are working. University of Louisville and University of Kentucky play basketball later today. (If they can stay out of prison long enough...) The place will be packed. All the way up to 20 degrees. (Will be near 0 tonight) I was just about to head home when I get notified we have water gushing out of a broken (frozen) water line at a snack shack on the golf course. In the Asshat era, I would have been wading around in slush, trying to fix the pipe. Today? I just valve it off and wait until it's warmer. Ready to attempt leaving for home again....
