Nice, looks like my undercover ultra flex.
I like the fold up covers the best and they don't stick up above the edge of the bed either.
    Welcome to TW!

OP, it looks awesome! Were you still able to keep your tie down cleats in place? I'm thinking about getting the same one and don't want to lose functionality with the install.

Not sure about OPs cover. But my Bakflip MX4 let me remount the rails and cleats. It comes with drop brackets to shift them down a bit and keep full functionality.

I can't speak for the Gator cover. However, I got the Bak Flip MX4, it uses the factory track systems bolt holes to mount, but it comes with relocation brackets for the tracks to drop them down an inch or so. That works well because it not only retains it, but with it being lower you can keep mounts/cleats installed with the cover closed.

Yes the Gator FX3 allows you to keep the original track system located about a inch below original position and still 100% functional 8922518F-E9E9-4381-B66C-937846B74CA4.jpg

That cover and the mounting and everything looks EXACTLY like the BakFlip MX4.

I thought the same thing. Even the buckles and foam pads on the top by the cab.

I spent a little time trying to find any differences between the two (Gator FX3 and BakFlip MX4). The only two differences I can really find are the price (about $200 more for the MX4) and the ability to close the tailgate without having to open the cover first. The MX4 is the cover with the ability to close the tailgate without having to first lift the cover. Not really sure if that functionality is worth the extra $200. I do enjoy saving money.

    Thoughts?

Really not a big deal to lift the cover a little and shut the tailgate

Kind of what I was thinking too. Both are beautiful covers.

I've had many Bakflips. You have to lift the cover to close the tailgate on those as well. It's never been an issue, but not having to do it is way more convenient than I would have ever imagined. It's especially nice when you grab something out of the bed and go to close the tailgate, it's a one handed operation with the mx4
