    Rain Visors,
Hey guys, well I've been going back and fourth about selling my taco, I've replaced the springs and shocks in the rear due to overloading. The other day smoked the clutch bad trying to climb a 20% grade with a full bed and car hauler loaded to the brim with decking debris.

I use my truck very hard, and the taco was dying. I needed brakes, a clutch, a new Rear bumper....and was hesitating putting lots more into it.

So I got this today....it's no toyota, but It's a great truck for what I use it for.....

ALSO i am going to have some things up for sale, air lift set up and PA-TOY 15

Yeah, post a picture of a Ford on a Toyota site. That's like bear-baiting.

I KNOW I KNOW I KNOW, and its already not as much fun to drive, but for the cost of new suspensions I had to. I love my 13 MPG and inability to navigate tight lots. too...and don't forget about not fitting in a standard spot

Yeah, if I did any harder work with my truck, i'd need something bigger too so I feel ya. I often overload mine, I think my clutch is going to only make it like 60000miles. But as for ford: :puke:

    Rain Visors,
I got the new one DIRT Cheap...a friend of mine works at the dealer ship, It's pretty bare bones which is perfect for me...so I knew the magic number, so I got it for 14K under sticker.

There are major issues with all three big brands, but i had a 6.0L before and for all the horror stories, I put 80K on it with out any issues.....just like on here, you get the 1% of taco owners who are super into their rig...but there are countless others who just drive it every day.

MPG isnt great, but the emmissions will come off and it will back to 18mpg
And the most i tow is 10K/12K which is nothing for this truck, so despite I use it hard, it's too hard for a taco but no sweat for this.

Also i wanted a tundra, but the 0% was over, and they werent giving me anything special. They were only offering me 12K on my taco from a dealership that I've purchased 3 cars from....

    Rain Visors,

hey don't like my 16" steelies???? me neither but I've learned my lesson with getting things at dealer, 20" chrom rims tires are $$$$$ all the little options, that i can install from ebay will save me a small fortune....and seriously I've never used the compass on my overhead console, i cant imagine missing it!!

Man tough crowd here... Sounds like you made the right decision and got the truck you needed instead of killing the poor Tacoma. Hope it works out for ya!

    Rain Visors,

i love my tacoma, had a 1st and 2nd gen. But I use it for work, and am constnatly lugging massive amounts of materials, and I used it pretty hard. It was still new enough with low miles it was worth something , vs me destroying it. So it may not be the best truck ever but i like it. and it serves my purpose.
    And nice with the GT40

I've had a few fox bodies that blew back windows, gotta love a twisting unibody

There is a lot to be said for an 8 foot bed.

That truck will serve you well for many years to come.

    Rain Visors,

That's what i missed most, I tried to get a tundra, with the extended cab and the 8ft bed, the dealer said i was nuts, and they make very very few of them

"fighting on the internet is like the special oylmpics, it doesnt matter who wins everyones a loser"

AND THAT ISNT MEANT TO OFFEND ITS JUST FUNNY, My brother is autistic....i don't want to hear S*** for that comment.

I would have drove a taco for life, but ut ust wasnt up for it...and when I make enough to where Im not the guy with all the materials in the back....ill be right back in a taco....
