What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Noticing I am only getting 15 mpg recently. I know its cold and Im running the heat but damn thats a steep drop from 20 from a few weeks ago.

 

Check your tire pressure. Mine has dropped in my tacoma as well down in philly. My mini would have serious discrepancies in gas mileage based on tire pressure (havent had the taco long enough to determine how dramatic it is for it)

 

I took a peak at em a couple days ago and they all were at 30 psi

I bought these off super bright leds and connected them to the led under the center dash that is lighting up the charging station. It only comes one when you turn your position lights or headlights on

 

I spy with my little eye a motor sicckle in the background. Watcha riding nice looking wheels. You need to check out the thread all things bikes and Tacos.

 

Should get better gas mileage when it's cold. Check air filter? Tire pressure? Maybe a bad tank of gas?

 

Winter gas is less efficient, you'll typically get worse mileage

 

I guess I can try cleaning my CAI. Ive had two or three fill-ups now with lower mpg. Im taking it in for the 20,000 service soon so may just have the "experts" look at it.

 

Are you driving short distances where the truck doesn’t have time to get to operating temperature?

 

I have been also getting around 19-20 mpg.

I've been getting 17-18 since it got cold. Was around 22.

 

Is there a specific part number or are they the only ones listed?

 

Put Collinite on my Christmas present before I get them mounted!

 

Those are sick! I’m tonrn between these and the TRD Beadlocks. What tires are you going with?

 

I’m sticking with the OEM Toyo’s For now. I am on the road too much. Eventually I will get something a little more aggressive.
