If anyone is looking for a truck with a bunch of mods done to it already it’s for sale in TN at a dealer for a little over 17k.

18 Colorado z71 I just wanted a back seat and the pricing for what I wanted was better than a new Tacoma... leather seats heated seats... all those bells and whistles

I hate to ask but did you get a decent amount for the trade compared to their asking price?

I asked for 16k they counter offered 12.5k so I left. The next day I woke up to 3 missed calls and 3 voicemails. 1st vm was the sales guy offering 13k I wasn’t calling back. 2nd was him again saying they had someone that’ll buy my truck I wasn’t dealing with that headache. And the last was the manager saying he’ll get me 15k and into the truck I wanted for the payments I wanted and I went back.

My only problem so far is the customer service there sucks. And I can’t find a decent Colorado forum to use haha

Damn you did good on that. I usually end up getting screwed because I don’t have that kind of patience.

@Boyk1182 Several factors that motivated the dealer.End of month and year. They needed to make their quota. They also make more nowadays from the overall the number of cars and trucks they sell, than the actual profit from the sale of the vehicle. All the incentives right now from Chevrolet are great too. Also sales in the car industry are slow this month.

Cool that you got what you wanted! Some of those Colorado's look pretty neat. Anyways, always be careful when negotiating on monthly payment price and not the full OTD price of the vehicle... dealers love this train of thought unfortunately (getting your monthly payment smaller and making the final cost higher) and will often take advantage. But who wants to hear about financial advice on an auto forum xD
    Have fun with your truck.

I drove a 2018 Colorado 4x4 crew cab a few weeks ago for a week in South Texas. Very impressed, but of course compared to my 05 TRD Sport 4x4, it better be. Engine was strong and smooth, 8 speed AT tranny shifted perfectly, seats were great, I really liked it. A few concerns: bed size small, compared to my 6' bed. Gas mileage was 17-19mpg, for a few grand more, I can get a Silverado with a V8 with cylinder deactivation that gets better gas mileage, engine braking, way bigger cabin and bed, better payload, better towing, proven reliable platform. Now it's got me thinking about it... Selling my 2005 AC TRD 6 speed MT with only 96k and in pristine condition. Black Sand Pearl is perfect for a 12 year old truck. WTF should I do? I love my Tacoma. My only complaints are it's an Access Cab (but you get the long bed) and my left knee needs replacing, so the clutch is getting to where it hurts!

Good Luck to you and the new Wheels.

For Me, I traded in a new purchased GMC Sonoma years later for my Then new Taco. If I had not bought the extended warranty I could not have afforded to drive the truck. IMO GM has Nasty ball joints, tie rod ends, F wheel bearing along with a few other issues I'm glad are in my Rear view mirror. I traded the Sonoma at 65K and I started changing parts at 25K.

Hey man glad to hear! I’ve got some spare parts laying around if you ever want or need them you can take them. The jobs going ok haha but I’m looking to transfer to county right now. Waiting on the contract is killing me haha

    Good luck on the Colorado...

I have a friend that bought one and it spends as much time at the dealer as it does at his house. I hope your experience is different.
