Yes. I can set it to record for up to 3 days, or I can tell it to record constantly until the battery gets below a certain level - always leaving enough power for me to start the truck.

I'm not 100% sure just yet. The people I would need to ask are out of the office until early next week.

definitely subbed for info. maybe our TW dash guy @USDashCamera could do a review on here for y'all? Would your people entertain a possible group buy as well? ;)

heard of two separate incidents this past week where someone was shot at on the freeway due to road rage, the one i got for my secret santa gift won't wire into my car without pissing off the sensors (one of the mirror replacement ones).

oh thats cool, I have been wanting more 2 ch remote lens systems. i see you posted that it can record while parked for up to 3 days. is that continuous recording or does it have a parking mode like many other systems that record only when it senses motion and an impact?

do you have specs on it?

i see it only had 720p on youtube, is that the max it records in? and do you know the image sensors or bitrate?

It will record endlessly when parked by overwriting old video unless the event recorder detects a force/impact upon the vehicle, at which point the system stores the video in a secure enclave on the SD card. The user can select the level of force that they want the system to detect using a scale within the iPhone and Android app.

    Front camera is 1080p @ 30FPS and rear is 720p @ 30FPS.

    Thanks!

Damn do most cameras have this bump sensitivity these days? Sounds just impressive AF!

Some do, some don't. Should be standard, IMO.

In terms of 'to catch a thief', with my luck, they'd steal the cameras. I'd have to hide the module somewhere so the SD card has a hope of remaining.

But I do dig the potential for on road use. Lots of lost snowbirds wandering the streets, turning and stopping randomly. Only vehicle to vehicle accident I've had in decades was caused by a lost bird who chose to ignore a yield sign. It worked out fine when the LEO saw the layout of things, but the camera would have been sweet.

i can think of any that don't anymore its pretty standard. the difference with most cameras is their parking modes though. the really popular g1w camera thats been around for years has g sensor but its only for locking clips while you are driving, such as a car crash. it also had a motion detection mode but it had a really bad delay between sensing motion and recording.

anker dash cams use an internal battery and an impact g sensor to trigger "parking mode" but it has about a 5-7 second delay between the impact and recording so that could miss vital information.

some cams like the A119 just use a time lapse, so when it detects you are parked (you need a special hard wire kit which is really cheap) it records a time lapse video so that way you aren't just filling up your memory card at work.

a lot of korean dash cams use a much more advanced system that switch to an automatic parking mode when your car hasnt been moving for awhile (blackvue cams) or with a hardwire kit that connects to an ACC and BATT fuse so it knows when your car is off. both can be hardwired to your truck battery or an external dash cam battery such as the cellink b. they are continuously pre-buffering 10 seconds of video on internal memory so that way when it senses an impact (or motion if you turn motion detection on) it suddenly will save 10 prior seconds plus an additional 10-20 seconds (or continuous until the motion stops if you turn motion detection on). the benefit of this is you aren't wasting space on your memory card, and it only records important videos.

timelapse parking mode is a nice compromise because it uses far less memory on your memory card (and the less you are over writing your card, the longer life span the card could have), but i prefer using pre buffered motion detection parking modes that blackvue and thinkware offer.

one down side to the pre buffered motion/impact parking modes is if you turn on motion detection and you park in a high traffic area you basically will be recording non stop. when i worked downtown minneapolis my entire memory card would write itself over while i was at work. some cams let you at least lock the impact videos tho. the problem with that is often times the sensor is too sensitive and you can end up with a bunch of locked files. my thinkware f800 pro senses my door shutting sometimes as an impact. i can turn the sensitivity down tho, but i don't lock my files anyways. I use a 128gb card so that gives me tons of hours of footage so i should notice before it gets over written. i am afraid of people keying my truck tho so i leave motion detection on too so i wouldn't miss an impact anyways. it is nice tho with blackvue and thinkware cams to have the impact sensor up anyways because when you start your car a voice alert tells you how many times it sensed an impact or motion (blackvues only tell you impacts tho).

when i get into my car if i slam my door too hard the camera will beep, so if i get that false, my camera might say it sensed 2 impacts and if thats the case i would likely do a walk around of my truck because i know i caused only one false myself. gets confusing sometimes if i open the back door or tail gate and slam them hard enough tho.

To the OP, my few concerns about the way you described the parking mode:

if its continuously recording and only locking event files that means you are putting far more strain on the memory card and could shorten the life span of the memory card.

also depending on the memory card size, that means during a 9 hour shift at work depending on the bit rate you might not even have footage from your drive that morning because its recording for 9 hours non stop just sitting in a parking lot. i had that issue with my blackvude dr650gw-2ch a few years ago when the motion detection was going off non stop because i worked down town. that cam was 1080p + 720p and i used a 64 gb card in it. by the end of my work shift it was already over writing footage from that morning like i mentioned in a paragraph above. It was bad enough that I just turned motion detection off so i would only get impacts. the motion detection is good for capturing someone keying your car tho, and in my work parking lot i once captured a red light runner. but over writing my entire memory card every day at work was a concern for me.

check out my thread where i post all my reviews here:

ive used over 70 dash cams at this point.

I liked how you pulled into the lot, and kept the camera away from watching both drivers very smart. Officer: How did he get those cuts on his face and broken ribs?" You: "he must of hit his face on the steering wheel and his ribs on the door-when he hit me!" Officer: "you didn't hit him?" You: "Of Course not, Do you see it on the camera (smiling)?"

Seriously though, that is a nice camera. Suck we have to Video protect ourselves from idiot drivers.

Similar thing happened to me. Cops decided in my favor based on the evidence and the fact the woman admitted to changing lanes but ever since then, I have been thinking about getting a dash cam for exactly the reason you stated.
