    What's the general consensus about a novice welder installing these things?

    I've got a little Lincoln 140 running .035 flux core

    I welded mine with a Lincoln ProMig 140 with .035 too! I think you should be fine.

    Good to hear! I was going to have a buddy weld them in for me at my house so i didn't have to drive it to him and waste his time with all the prep work

    How tight are the tabs supposed to be against the alignment bolts? I’m seemingly having fitment issues on mine spacing between the ears was something I did not see on the front end. Is this something they should be able to completely rotate freely in?

    Yes, they should be able to rotate 360. Is it all of them? You can hit them with a grinder if there are high spots that are getting stuck.

    Yeah, they’re all pretty snug. Ran a metal file inside the “ears” and made it so they’re snug but do rotate! FYI I did mine with a Hobart 140 with .35 flux core

    So it can be done. Working on installing the last 4 now
