So wife went to Discount tire because she needed tires. She now has new tires and wheels on her Corolla o_O
One was bent making it go flat,I’ve had to keep air in it. Now have 3 stock wheels up for grabs or they’re heading to scrap yard.

Not skeered just trying to decide which will work to my advantage. Will study them more in the morning and then see how I can load that Kmz file into it. If I remember correctly one of them wouldn’t accept the kmz file.

I saw a youtube video where Micheal from Overland bound explained how he mapped a route with POI notes using Google Earth. I'm not sure if that would help you.........thought I'd throw it out there.

I have a kmz file to work with and was mapping via google this morning, working now with an app to get it loaded into my phone. The first part of the track just outside of Bandera has approx 6 water crossing on it, some may be dry but part of it we would cross the Seco Creek and there is damn areas along the route. Want to be able to follow the route while driving, even though I am writing things down, first leg is about 49 miles.

Yea he makes the route through Google earth and then converts it using an app so that you can load to your Garmin or like device. But you could also just view it on a phone or tablet using Google Earth. That's a cool how to video.

I am guessing that that once we start the route it shows my location, from there it is a matter of adjusting the map to see where I'm at and can zoom in accordingly. I recently got the hondo garage setup to mount to the A/C vent, this will make it easy to adjust the map while driving and following the route at the same time. It is fairly detailed.

Ok, so here is what I'm thinking and looking for consensus on this:

    Hill Country drive, Jan 20th.
Meet in Bandera Tx at 0800, get some food ie breakfast tacos :dancingbacon::dancingbacon: at Mi Pueblo, address is 706 Main St. Let everyone eat and enjoy these tacos, they have always been great. My wife works up there every 6 weeks or so and always brings me a taco or two back and they are killer, even cold. Try to leave around 0900 and head out to the starting point of the first leg, which is at coordinates
Lat: 29°37'37.75"N, Long: 99°10'51.63"W. The first leg is about 49 miles long based on mapping out the route via google earth, depending on speed and any obstacles I figured we will spend at least 1.5 hrs to 2 hrs on this route, still trying to nail this down. If we get there at a good time then we will proceed onto a second half of a leg which I am working out the details and potential routes as the whole route would take two days to do. I am thinking as most of this routes it back towards Leakey there is a food spot with an outdoor setting that is a norm for bikes to show up at. This place is called the Bent Rim, there they will have Beer /Food and it appears plenty of place for parking, will need to call them and verify if they are good with a bunch of toyotas showing up.

    Thoughts, suggestions?

As stated, still working the second half of the leg so will update this as we get closer
