    Post Uwharrie trip report:

Truck was flawless. Everything worked as it should, tires hooked well on the rocks @ 8 psi, new radiator kept the truck cool and the new sliders didn’t get me hung up on anything.

I did experience a mystery clunk again that started at the last Citrus meet. Turns out it’s the cable shifter for the Atlas that was hitting the top of the transfer case. Took out it, clearanced it, and all is well with that.

I did order a new upgraded steering pump and bracket from Trail-Gear. The current steering setup works, but it really needs more flow to get the tires turned at low and high speeds.

Next on the list before the next wheeling trip is suspension seats, finish installing the cage, install pump, line the floor (raptor liner maybe?), and finish the new twin stick cover which I started today. Oh and a center console and with cupholders :D.

Little look at the center console that’s being built. Using a .50 cal ammo can and building off the front of it. Nothing special, just enough room for a cup holder (the factory one above the radio sucks) and a spot to hold small stuff like change or a phone.

Also received the trail-gear pump. Hopefully it’s quality is better than their reputation. Still figuring out what resi I am getting for it.

Get the lid of your ammo can upholstered and you’re set. It’s easily the best mod on my truck :D

shifter surround is done. Should be ordering the Raptor liner for the floor in the next week or so.

I really can't tell a difference from no flooring and having the vinyl flooring in it haha. With the tires, gear whine, random holes in the firewall from where the speedo cable was coming through, the steering shaft boot being ripped, and the exhaust.... it's just always loud.

I haven't even had that problem really. The passenger side probably gets a little toasty from the exhaust being on that side but I'm not really worried about passenger comfort :D

I’m fine without carpet but I haven’t had it in either of my last two trucks. The noise is a non concern with PBR’s, crawler, and a loud exhaust. The biggest downside is passenger seat comfort...the floorboard will melt pens or bags of chips if I leave them there.

Damn, not sure if mine gets quite that hot. My exhaust/cat converter has been moved slightly higher to clear everything so I'm sure it gets hotter now than when it was all in the stock locations. I am not even certain that the heat shields that bolt to the bottom of the cab are still there. I am hoping that the Raptor Liner insulates some, but I am doubtful that it will.

I think most of my heat is from the muffler being moved to high and tight under the cab. Don’t get me wrong, it won’t turn pens into puddles but they are definitely flat/deformed after spending some time under the seat. I’ve got herculiner rolled on the floor as well

Took the airbag apart and removed the guts so it won't explode on me if I come down hard on something or whatever. Center console has also been finished. Simple yet effective.

Most of my heat came from the trans and crawler under there when driving around. The truck was a DD at the time seeing 100miles of highway a day.
