BFG, VTAC, or Magpul are my favorites

VTAC designed a real nice 2 point, then Blue Force improved them, and then Magpul improved them further IMO

FWIW I have one of each

I rank them Magpul, BFG Vickers, VTAC and they're all leaps and bounds over any other sling I've used

I'm personally a big fan of the wide or padded version of each also, I had an issued version without padding or wide webbing and swapped it out with a personal padded one after the first use in the woods tracking for over an hour

All of my rifles now have the padded versions and they're much more comfortable over long periods of time

Standard Vickers BFG sling for me. I have a set of QD swivels on it. Have several other 2 and 3 point slings in the spare parts bin but the BFG is my favorite.

I have the padded vtac on all mine. I keep wanting to try one of the magpul versions but it’s hard to not stick with what I’m comfortable with. I tried a vickers bfg and a padded Troy before finding the vtac. Didn’t really care for either of them.

Sorry, I just can't help myself from putting the Facts out there on this.

Funny, I can confirm the 6" is total BS. However, everytime we qualified on the .50 I heard the same thing about .50 and above is "Anti-Material" per Geneva Convention and if anyone questions why you fired on zzz, you always reply you were shooting at their equipment... Heard the same with 30mm on an Apache.

As you can see here, no such exact ban is found (Sec III, Para 34-38: Section III. FORBIDDEN MEANS OF WAGING WARFARE): http://www.aschq.army.mil/gc/files/FM27-10.pdf
So quick reference: The US Military will not: use Flame weapons, Poison, or Chemical warfare umbrella.

First article 34 is most likely where the above statement comes from, but specifics detail doesn't match up. However, I know US Military banned the use of all Flechette rounds but in Iraq war decided to use them on the opening strike by Apache's against the 2 Iraq Radar installations to kick off the air war. I know people who literally pulled that trigger. Cluster bombs/ munitions were added either during or after the Russian occupation of Afghanistan.

Geneva Convention relating to US Military policy above

Interesting, so the Barrett .50 is fielded alongside another sniper rifle in a team?

Viking Tactics is my favorite. I've used that and Magpul. The quick adjustment on the Viking is so nice to have. I converted mine to a single point QD with a couple on extra parts. Works awesome with my AR9 "pistol."

I think this is what I use:
    http://www.vikingtactics.com/product-p/vtac-mk2-ug.htm

Has metal hardware and is padded.

Never heard of it until now, I won't order any Larue products though.

I don't agree with some statements he has made, I would rather spend my money with another company.

He didn't hurt my "feels", I just don't believe I want my money supporting his company with some of the things he said along with the fact that he supports the NRA.

I cannot in good conscience support a company who's whole purpose to exist is to support our 2nd Amendment yet has a history of compromising (GCA of '68, NFA of '34, NICS, etcetera) we compromised enough (way too much actually) and it's time to stop the compromising. Put the money you would give to the NRA towards GOA or NAGR, let the NRA know that they will lose their support (funding) if they keep compromising.
