    New Member here, been lurking for months checking out prices. I am now ready to buy my first TACO.
    I am looking at the 2018 Cement TRDSPORT DCSB (7148) 4x2 AUTO with the Premium and Tech Package

    I am currently in SoCAL and will be moving to Colorado Springs next month. Do you guys think I should buy my TACO here or are the prices and/or tax difference better in Colorado? I am having a hard time searching for the cement color in the TRD Sport, dealers I have contacted are offering me no less the $500 discount on MSRP. I am not in a hurry and am willing to wait for a couple of months.

    any help would be appreciated. Thanks

    Are you guys paying the $995 shipping fee, or does the dealership eat that?

    I have a dealership who says they will order any tacoma for invoice, but the salesman gives me numbers that don't add up.

    I'm pretty confident I can get him to invoice+ $995, is that the best I can expect?

    If you're moving to Colorado, 4x2 shouldn't even be on your list unless you like asking for help to get pushed during snow storms.

    You're going to want it. We just got 18 inches where I live. I've been in 4wd more than 2wd the last few weeks. 2wd typically have to stay home, or they get stuck right now. No point in having a 2wd in an area where snow is common. You'll probably finding yourself trading in a brand new truck for one with 4wd after one winter. It's not that much more, and you'll recoup it in resale.

    u wish u could ride and kryten like this.

    I've been on this site about 7-8 years and never read a post where someone said they bought a 4x4 and wish they bought a 2wd, but read far too many that say the opposite.

    Do you know any good dealers in Denver area, I don't mind driving up to 500 miles around me.
    I was actually contemplating on buying the truck here in LA, then driving it up there... would be fun and I might save money.. since I would get to load all my stuff in the truck instead of paying for shipping, if the difference in tax rate would be around 2%.

    Looks like I will have to get the dealer to build or locate what I am asking for but I have been calling around and here is my best quote so far. Please let me know what you guys think...
    2018 / DCLB / TRD Sport / Premium package (leather, etc.) / White / Predator steps
    $35,865 +TTL (Kentucky) = 38,482 out the door.
    Any feedback is appreciated as I hope to make a decision this weekend and potentially put a deposit down.

    Thanks guys!!!

    I got my SR5 DBCB (V6, 4x2, Tow package, AT) for $30,500 OTD (including TTL), with an interest rate of 0.9% (60 months). Not too bad IMO.

    Hey guys. I know this thread is about the 2018s but thought I would share what I paid this week for my 2017. Maybe to serve as a barometer of sorts.

    2017 DCSB OR AT
    MAGNETIC GRAY
    PREMIUM & TECH PACKAGE
    TOW PACKAGE
    5" OVAL SIDE STEP
    BED STEP
    ALL WEATHER MATS
    ALLOY WHEEL LOCK
    SPARE TIRE LOCK
    D-RINGS

    MSRP = $40,992
    INVOICE = $37,613
    PAID = $35,500

    I got it at Toyota Santa Monica. I paid cash.

    No trade in. Negotiated price on car first. Then I asked about the trade. They offered me way too little so I past on the trade in.. Selling private party.

    Imho, if you're paying almost 40k for a new truck, don't compromise and get exactly what you want, MT in your case.
