Same issue here. And I agree it's not the shell. To me it seems like some installers know how to fix the issue and some dont.

Someone should start a list of good installers by region....

Totally agreed. My dealer was great to work with. They probably would have done a better job sealing things up if I'd given them the time. I was in a hurry and didn't pay for them to do the full install because I wanted to wire it myself.

I went through this entire post through out a few days. I believe I saw a few Century Ultra's. I believe that's what I'll be getting with the Tri-cell roof, Windoors, Drop down front window w/ slider and the coupon for the carpeted headliner. Is there anyone in here that has the Ultra and can provide me with some feed back on it? I'm thinking about ordering it within the next week or two.

How much is the overland in comparison to the CX or the base models? I was in the same ball park with a CX but I got a good bit of extras

Seeing how you both have the same top have either one of you had any leaks? Also I was looking at getting mine at A&A since it's closer but even though they said they were giving me a little discount S-Cargo was just as cheap.

How were your experiences with these dealers? Thanks in advance!

No leaks, AA will seal your bed corners for you. Pick up foam tailgate seal for full dust-proofing. AA was excellent, but install was a long two hours and had to wait a week for their schedule open up.

Does anybody know about removing the A.R.E. Badges on the rear corners? I’m trying to figure out if it’s indented underneath or if it’s flush and you can just peel it off. I’m getting mine installed tomorrow, V-series with carpet headliner and dropdown sliding window for $1550 otd installed.

I removed mine. They are just stuck on the surface but they are really thick and really stuck on there. I would highly suggest not removing them. Mine only left a slight mark and I got most of it off but Capworld told me A.R.E. applies them immediately after paint and often the paint isn’t fully cured so very often when people remove them, it takes a chunk of paint as well.

Thanks! I will take your advice and just remove the one on the rear window.

I didn't ask the installer about the paint, but I gave mine a little tug and they peeled right off. No indentation underneath. Didn't even need to use any product to remove the adhesive residue, the extra just rubbed right off with my hand. Little wipe w a soft wet rag and I couldn't tell they were ever there.

For those of you with toppers, I am so torn between the ARE V series and the Leer XR. I'd appreciate any insight as to the pros and cons of either brand or topper.

Good to know the Leer has a single-latch option for the back glass. How are you liking it?

I lucked out and found a barely used Tacoma with the Leer 100XQ Cap came with the LED bar inside, pet screens, and the cargo net. I love it.

Oh the shell came with the truck when I bought it used. 1st owner installed the shell. It was Christmas in May. Lol

I got curious though and built one on Leer’s website to get a grasp of what the first owner paid. Holy shit. Almost 3,800k

I bet so. Those Leer xq are not cheap either. Good score getting the truck with the shell already on it.

I have the OME dakar leaf pack (EL095R) and I'm looking at getting the Leer 100XR with windoors, roof rack, etc. Is anyone with a similar setup seeing any height decrease in rear lift with one of these shells on? I have the Bilstein 6112 up front and want to go up one more notch to reduce some of the rake my current configuration has. However, I don't want to adjust too much in the front and then have the rear come down some from the weight of the shell and not be happy with the stance. The suspension has been on for over a month and I'm sure it's settled now.
