true, but in CA we have the 'visual' inspection and anything added to your vehicle's powertrain that isn't CARB approved will get you an automatic fail :( Some shops are more lenient than others though

Stock Toyota parts, first clutch lasted 275,000 miles on my 5 speed with supercharger, I put 2nd clutch
in at 480,00, clutch was still ok but the pilot bearing between engine and clutch was shot

I still want to do water/meth with 2.2 pulley, but worried bout smog(you got some good ideas) but I got hassled for my Airaid intake tube an had to get carb sticker.... still not probs with your supercharger?

An as far as urd I’d personally stay away from them customer service sucks ass an never could get to talk to someone....I was bout to get that 7th kit but couldn’t get a for sure it would work.....$1200 is a lot for not a 100% gonna work. After talking to some guys on here apparently the 7th kit won’t work on 95.5 an 96. An pretty sure the plug n play harness is like a jumper that you have to solder the 7th crap to (instead of stock wring) an plugs in between the ecu an stock wiring plug

Zero issues with my methanol setup, if your worried about smog inspection, take the whole unit off.
It take 2 hours to install because you have to find wires and hose etc. It will take 15 minutes to uninstall for inspection, then reinstall it in 15 minutes,
You have a pump with 2 small hoses and an injector hoses, pretty dam easy to take off.

Good to hear......an I wonder how bad I would get hassled if it was just not hooked up? One way to find out I suppose.

Dalandser-Maybe I just had shit luck idk?

In the long run I’m sure it worked out for the best, I don’t want to deal with any tuning drama from urd 7th, gas has gotta be more corrosive to put through s/c than water/meth. Even though I’ve read magnuson an Eaton don’t rec putting anything through s/c. An price between both is big for me.....

I'd just do the supercharger first and see if you run into any lean/pinging issues...some people don't and never have to worry about doing the 7th or methanol. Unless you plan on doing smaller pulleys for more boost, then you'll have to do something to counter the lean issues that will bring. Another option is to go with larger injectors, URD has a kit for that and there are other options for it as well.

The larger injector kit is recommended for the earlier 1st gen Tacos or ones that have EGR, that can't run the 7th injector kit.

My truck doesn’t have egr so that’s why I was gonna go 7th route, I have an auto meter afr on it now seems to run pretty good, idk how accurate the damn thing is tho, I want to run the 2.2 pulley but idk if it’s worth it in the long run

The long run??? I'm coming up to 550,000 miles next week, I have 2" pulley at 6000 feet, 10 pounds of boost, the smaller pulley if you can pull it off is a HUGE hp gain!!
Seriously all the new 3.5 Tacoma trucks and 4Runners and older 4 liter tacomas ALL stay in my rear view mirror.

Too funny, just replaced it last week at 549,000 miles, took 15 minutes to do, I thought my transmission was going out, gears were grinding, hard to get into any gear, now it's working like new again, best 25.00 I have invested, the ball was all worn down and the top boot ripped when I took it off,
I bought a used 5speed 8 years ago from a rolled tacoma that had 60,000 miles on it thinking I was going to need a new transmission some day, :) still waiting for that day

Trust me, I have given plenty of other Tacoma owners a ride in my truck and they can't believe the power difference. Once you get a supercharger and dial in the tuning, you will kick yourself for not getting one sooner

Did you get the smaller steel pulley from urd? I only see the aluminum 2.2 one on their site

No, ALL the URD pulleys are made of aluminum and they will wear out down the center of the pulley in 25-35000 miles and your belt will slip because it rides up on the ears of the pulley and can't grip the center of the worn pulley. If you have a URD pulley take your belt off the snout pulley and look to see if you have burn marks on the ears of the inside of the pulley, if so it's shot. I got mine from THEHIGHSPEEDLAB , talk to Wayne and let him
know I sent you, he does all my supercharger work, a great guy!!
    He has a steel 2.1 and a steel 2" pulley maybe a steel 2.2,
    Steel pulleys don't wear out!!!
Snow progressive kit has those lights and options

Will do! Looks like he has a 2.2 on his website says only +1lb , urd says +1.5-2lb?

But at least the steel will last!
