    Dog.
Just ordered a collar and a Mendota EZ trainer/ leash.
I do not have any issues with walking him, but the girls do as he has got stronger. He is about 9 months old now and has had a really hard time up to us getting/rescuing him, so he has trust issues and sometimes will not come if he thinks he is in trouble and we have no idea why because we do not hit him or punish him in any way, except a grumpy tone...
He is got a lot better with other dogs and is getting better with other people, but we can't use the old give your friend a treat to give your dog and he will get over the nervousness quickly, as he will absolutely not take any food from anyone other than myself or my girls.

This is his, yeah I don't trust you look...

    His evening position before bed...

Thanks for the info on the collar and website.

I have done all my own training when it comes to gun training and retrieving. Are trying to get her use to the sound or get her fully prepared for hunting?

I'd just keep at it and make all training fun. Try some fun, small & short trust exercises....it'll help a lot.

Sorry guys I am in Australia and don't understand what an aussie collie is. Never heard of them in Australia. We just call them border collie. This is my Nelly. 1yr old border collie in a rare cream. They can come in various sizes, long haired fat ones, medium and short hair skinny (usually hypo active and best on farms ) but they are all called border collie.
often they are cross bred with blue healers for working dogs.

this is an Australian cattle dog/blue healer. Breed I aust they are different dogs but do have some border collie heritage

We’ve got Australian shepherds and border collies. Sometimes they look really similar but having knowledge about both breeds it’s easy to differentiate. I’m sure along the breeding line a collie and some sort of heeler were mixed to make an Australian Shepherd

:facepalm:did some research and Australian shepherds are an American breed with nothing to do with Australia just to confuse the issue. But then again you guys drive on the wrong side of the road :mudding::rofl:

Baloo had a hard day today. Driving all around town in the 4Runner, dealing with his first full day wearing a collar and a leash and getting overloaded with hugs and kisses when we stopped by our nieces house for her birthday. It's a hard life. He just had to crash out on the couch. He did the typical sit or lay down every time I tried to direct him with the leash. He did end up walking the furthest he has at at one time once I got him in an open field. He likes to sleep at the foot of my recliner /couch.

I spy a Dissent Off Road rack. I've only seen photos. Looks like Ben does top-shelf work. How do you like it?

Wish he did stuff for 1st gens. :pout:

I am a big fan of reflective collars on a dog, any dog but especially a hunting dog that runs off lead.

Steve at Gundog supply has a full selection and he is great to deal with. Had a mix up with a charging unit for the Garmin Alpha which was my fault and he cross shipped the correct cables to me without even waiting for the return and didn't charge me, hard to beat that. He offers quite a few collars. Brass stamped nameplates are included free of charge. Gundog Supply collars.

With that said I still get most of my collars with reflective strips from Buck at Lion Country Supply (AKA: LCS on most hunting sites). About half the price and nameplates are also free and attached. But I also purchase extra nameplates for attaching to the hanging tag end of the Garmin TT15 collars which have more holes for a finer adjustment in fit of the ecollar and GPS unit.

At $400 each for a Garmin TT15 collar also have the free registration that LCS offers with a database of your contact information it is the gold sticker on the GPS unit.

Between the registration tag and nameplates on 2 collars if something happens to one of the collars the other should still be attached. What ever it takes to get the dog back if something goes horribly wrong. And the reflective strip should help if he is still out after dark and on a road when a logging truck comes by. Never had an issue but if it did arise try to cover all the bases to make sure the dog makes it home safe.

Very nice. I've purchased many items from both GDS and LCS. Both top notch.

Like it a lot . Would like it better if I could get the side locking doors from him !

I’ll probably sell the bed rack as I’m seriously considering a hard shell for it.

    The racks are built well
