This is why I posted some of the details about the first part of the leg, I believe some of the overlanders have gone but not sure what we will encounter.

There's an Airport off of 470 so I'll have to give them a call BUT that shouldn't be a big issue.

I’m in!!! The plan sounds good to me. If there is any doubt, we could “pre-run” it on the 6th or 7th of January.

I’ll take a look at the file shortly. So far, the routes and maps from TO I’ve followed have been golden

Damn! I scrolled right past it earlier, thnx. Are you guys wanting to camp someplace? My trailer is still down in Houston full of my brothers stuff that he needed to store after the Hurricane. I need to call him and see if he's still using it.

Right I don’t think camping has been discussed other then a day of seeing TG back roads etc. if others want to plan one after the main part of the day you and others would be welcome. I was just looking at the day trip, besides it’s cold out there lol

I want to start off-roading at these meet-ups, but don't know where I need to start from... I have read that I should just start wheeling and buy what I need when I need It. or to get recovery gear, good A/Ts, a little lift, and some armor before I head out... I really want to get acquainted with you guys in the SA/Austin chapters and start attending meetups, But i'm basically bone stock, inexperienced, nervous of damage, and am on a budget. :annoyed: Wat do...

I invite you to check out the op (original post) to see othe members vehicles and trips they have been on. No worries about be being stock as many have been up to hidden falls and learned their tricks capabilities. The trip we are currently planning should not be much of an issue for anyone. Again welcome

    Thanks mark,

I Look forward to meeting yall, I just don't want to be that noob that brings down the trip due to lack of experience. You guys sound very inviting and friendly, I just sometimes doubt myself / abilities when learning new skills. I pick things up fast, am young and confident I just don't want to get in over my head and be the one who ruined an outing. Thanks for the support though guys, I'll do my best to get this meet up shoved in my schedule.
