Your right. I’ll say strongly dislike. Just don’t agree with ripping half of something’s face off and then throwing them back for ones enjoyment.

That means sushi right? I am absolutely a freak. I love fish/seafood in almost any form. But then I don’t eat any other types of meat so I guess that really makes me a freak.

I catch and release unless I plan on cookin them up.

But I gently remove the hooks and make sure they’re not dead

Damn. I catch and release wild trout. In most places I fish, that is the regulation. Single, barbless hooks, only. Don't hate, appreciate.

if they cant be kept they should be left alone. population is low that's why its catch and release only. I love to fish but i just dont get the sport side of it, its hunting and should be treated as such.
to each his own, but i would eat that tasty treat you are holding there.

Wife and I have been doing plant-based only for about a year. We’re not 100% and sushi is one of our favorite cheats.

I haven’t had red meat in over 15 years, never developed a taste for any of it. Chicken was easy to give up. When she asked me if I would try plant-based for a month I Had no problem with it.

Being Portuguese she had a lot more to give up, esp. linguiça.

So far not much action. Caught a barely legal on a mud sucker and lost a few on my anchovies. But it’s died for now. Tides changing so hoping for some more luck.

Yes mine are run with flexible lines through a sleeve. It was just a shit install of the valves and faucet that caused the leak. Sucks right now not having a kitchen but at least its all getting fixed up.

    Some really cool shit

Where I fish, it's mostly catch and release, it has nothing to do with low population. It has to do with sustaining a nice blue ribbon stream. Many of these rivers contain thousands of fish per mile, and it is hoped it will stay that way so as to maintain a strong and healthy river. Now, the river that is in the photo I posted has few fish, as they are not native. The fish don't populate in entire waterway. It is New Zealand. Guys do keep them from time to time. I just prefer not to. As for birds, I eat what I shoot.
