What you describe is why I always vote against money for schools. Until they deal with bullying and start teaching freedom I will not vote to give them money. Too many teachers have problems with power over defenseless students.
Throwing money at a problem never solves the problem and wastes money.
I vote against any issue that increases taxes or spends money except libraries, those are worthwhile.
I got pushed into a window once by two bullies when my arm was in a cast. I had to help pay for the window. Bullies are part of the reason I never travel unarmed unless I must. Remember what they said on usenet "Traveling unarmed is like boating without a life preserver, it's not a good idea but sometimes you have to do it."

 

Stopped at rest stop in a place called Wallace to use the bathroom and grab something to eat. Just left and I swear, rest stops are like landing on another planet!

 

I got a day of in-school suspension in 6th grade and two days out-of-school suspension in 8th grade. Both times it was because I lost my temper with someone who was bullying me and "assaulted" them.

 

Stopped at this place in Derry called Duck Donuts...

Parents thought it was called "Duck-in Donuts," like a parody of Dunkin Donuts...

Turns out this place is WAYYY better than Dunkin Donuts!

We are staying at the Courtyard Marriott in Hershey. My cousin dropped her 2017 RAV4 XLE AWD at the hotel and rode with me and my parents so she could drink. When we came back, there was an identical RAV4 parked next to hers!

Extra credit if you can guess which RAV4 is hers!



I was originally just going to take a picture of the two RAV4s, but my cousin photobombed me. She didn't have a problem with going on Tacoma World (again), so here you go!

 

So, I got beer at the Hershey Biergarten, wine and a couple more beers at Devon Seafood & Steak, and a few more beers at the bar/restaurant here at the Courtyard Marriott where we're staying...

Not once did I get carded!

Man, I feel old!

 

This is actually the nicest hotel I've stayed at in over a year!

 

And this room also has a decent HVAC system! It's a Daikin system. I presume that it is a chiller, since I just did some internet research and found out that Daikin does in fact make chillers, and a lot of the larger hotels have chillers for their heating and cooling system. I previously thought that Daikin only made ductless mini-split systems and tradition whole-house systems that appear to be rebadged Goodman/Amana products. Turns out that Daikin also makes a wide variety of commercial products, including chillers!

So yeah, it's a Daikon, with a ceiling cassette in each room...

This is because a chiller is not like your typical air-conditioner. It is safe to run even it is in the single digits outside. The windows in these rooms don't open, and I don't have a fan, so I turned on the air because it's stuffy in here!

 

It amazes me how many people have not heard of the Hainan Island Incident. It happened in April 2001, and the reason it's significant in my life is because my dad was stationed at the same military base as the crew of the aircraft involved! That particular military base would be NAS Whidbey Island, in Oak Harbor, Washington. I was 12 years old at the time, and this quite a big deal on Whidbey Island. The crew members came back home to a huge hero's welcome the day before Easter, and I ended up on the local news that evening (albeit very briefly, in the background) along with my English teacher whose husband was not only in the Navy, but in the same squadron as the captured EP3 crew (though not among them).
