Thanks. I really don't know why they were so motivated. It is end of year and I know they were pushing to close the year well. I walked out because I wasn't in a hurry to buy. I had them at 36500 but I was pushing for 35000. I walked out, told them to call me if they want to deal. I'd write them a check on the spot. I left. Got a call 20 minutes later that they would do 35,500. I wasn't gonna sweat the 500 so came back and did the deal. I'm really happy.

You did a bit better than I did. I managed a touch over 10% off MSRP on a 2018 OR DCSB. I had a better deal on the '17, but it got away because I was too busy to pull the trigger. Then I fixated on getting the same deal on an '18. Almost got it to the same discount. Not quite though.

Wow, great price with no dealer fee. Basically 13.2% off MSRP. I wish I could find those deals down in FL like that. 10% is the best I've negotiated so far on 2017.

I did pay the $80 document fee on top of the $35,500 but the $900 or so delivery fee was included in the $35,500.

Just want to be transparent so that people have a clear understanding of the room the dealer has on these trucks.

Also, this same dealer had two 2017 Pros and about 3 2018 TRD on the lot. I don't which models of 18s. They were quite proud of both. LOL

The Pros had a $15,000 mark up over MSRP. $60,000 is what they wanted. They told me they'd do 10% off that price. I almost spit my drink out in laughter. The 18s they also were not as willing to budge.

It's Santa Monica so they have plenty of people with more dollars than sense that will pay the premium to have the Pro or the latest 2018.

Just thought I would throw this out to give some perspective. It's all about the local market with this stuff sometimes.

One more personal experience. I went to another dealer that is in a lower income town. They had all of their Tacos marked up over MSRP. All of them regardless of model. They were also the least willing to negotiate. You'd think it would be the opposite being that their typical buyer is of lesser means. But I think they work these poor people on payments, rather than price. As long as the payment is low, the total price doesn't matter.

Again, know your local market. I highly recommend you use TrueCar to get an idea of what people in your area are paying for the exact build you want. If you install the app, you can scan the sticker on a car on the lot and it gives you the breakdown.

    Hope this is helpful.

I'm in the market for a TRD Pro and a dealer in AL quoted me $48,735 out the door with tax/fees (after a $750 discount) for the cav blue on their lot.

It has some overpriced $700 tints and I think the paint protection was like $200. The tax was $1800something. Doc fee at that place is $1300. Ridiculous. I'm still looking.

    $1800 TAX!!!!

Tax here in Kalifornia would be over $4000 on a Pro. And our license fees are ridiculous too.

If it makes you feel better, it’s similar in WA state..haha.

Sales tax in my area is around 10% and registration will be around $600. A Pro at MSRP would be around $52k out the door which is why I’m hesitant.

They're raising registration fees here in California AGAIN! It's prorated based on the value of your car, effective in 2018. For my taco, it will be an EXTRA $150 a year.

You'd think we would have the best roads in the US. NOPE. Pothole city. LOL
