You can replace the O-rings with thicker ones (have to be fuel rated obviously) so they seat better into the ports. I did that to mine years ago

 

Update on mine: All of the injector cups were cracked or broken. They were easy to take out after spraying a little wd40 on them. I replaced the insulators, o-rings and fpr. It’s much better except for when I go up on the freeway cruising the afr’s go down to 8-9 but after a while it’s normal.

 

Now stay away from e85!!!! Lol glad you’re running better!

I didn’t see any change in MPG’s... but with the added power and more temptation to floor it, you could realistically say that the gas usage to speed and acceleration ratio is more efficient... which is basically changing v6 power and gas mileage to v8 (simulated) power and keeping the v6 gas mileage

 

Hey guys. So a while back I upgraded my low boost s/c to high boost (8psi pulley). I bought the 5th injector kit from LC Engineering. I could NOT get it to run correctly. Pinging real bad. Not much power. (I previously installed a 190 fuel pump and pink top injectors). After trying to figure it out I called Wes at LC Engineering. He told me it probably wasn't working correctly because I changed my injectors to pink tops. Low and behold I removed the 5th injector kit and my truck is running awesome with just pink tops and a larger volume fuel pump. (Will eventually check afr)

My question is if the 5th injector kit is made for 95-04 tacomas why wouldn't it work if I had injectors from an 04 in my 98? Now I'm out almost 900 bucks from that kit.

 

It’s really hard to diagnose anything with so little information and no AFR numbers. pinging and too much fuel aren’t things that occur very often at the same, though it does happen. Pinging is usually associated with either too low of an octane rating for the timing advance/boost level your at, or running lean. Running anything above 4psi (realistically any boost at all actually) and not having a wideband is not good. I would raise that priority up a few notches

(no boost in pictured just when i got up to cruising speed) boost started spoolin basically as soon as i gave it any skinny pedal, 2500 rpm ish

NEXT ISSUE: I have a major vac/boost leak at the IAC on the side were the big vac hose and the connector are.

Is anybody running a haltech elite 550 with their 3rz that i could use their base tune or a tune to download and tweak if necessary to get my truck running? running 9psi aeromotive 340lph pump, stock rail and will be throwing in my 650cc injectors and haltech if i can get some sort of tune. Seems like Luis is way too busy to sit down and come up with the one that i paid for couple months back

 

@arcenik has a tune which will be the closest.

You will still have to fine tune it, as his injectors I believe are different.

Have you downloaded the tuning program yet? Do that and familiarize your self with it.
