I had dreams about this thread last night.
Was dreaming a bunch of guys came in a starting derailing the thread talking about football. And was thinking dammit I'm gonna have to delete like 20 pages worth all this football bs.

I cashed out my ripple to buy up zclassic, with the intent of holding it til after the fork, gathering my bitcoin private, and then selling all that and hopefully making a shitload, then investing it all back into ripple.

In short, because the universe hates me, expect ripple to go to $1000 between now and the end of january when that fork is expected.

Ripple hasn't made me a millionaire (yet) but it's definitely made my last 4 weeks a hell of a lot better!

I think in the immediate short term (6-12 months) Ripple will become very popular as it bridges the gap between the regulated banking industry and the crypto world. Although it goes against everything bitcoin stands for since it's centralized, I think it's a great investment and will have real world use faster than any other one IMO.

Unfortunately that bridge that XRP is creating between crypto and regulated banks is what's eventually going to be the downfall of the crypto gravy train. Once regulation steps in it'll put the brakes on everything.

So how is everyone handling crypto taxes? How are you tracking all the coin to coin exchanges?

I don't think crypto to crypto counts, only when you "realize" the gains by either converting to legal tender or purchasing goods directly. Coinbase has a link with all the info. Someone posted it earlier.

I’ve been keeping a google sheets file where I document my trades. Not sure exactly how the taxes will be handled though. Most exchanges also keep a record of trades. Not sure how far back they go though.

I’m curious since this thread has pretty much only existed after the BTC ATH at 20k, what is everyone’s plan for their alts when bitcoin rebounds and starts going up in price again? Most of the alts should see their prices come down I would think so is everyone going to pull out of the alts and ride BTC while it rises or is the plan to just HODL?
