Hauling stone in my truck... pics inside

Had a blast on Sunday, helping the neighbours with some landscaping. Loaded the Tacoma up with a yard of stone, which was the lava stone style, so not enormously heavy. In all the back of the truck sat about 3.5" lower. I figure the stone weighed about 650-700 lb, since my ATV is 620 lb and causes the back end to sink 2.5". The truck rode well, didn't bottom out... Although the road was smooth and I slowed right down for the railway crossing.

Were the people that loaded it careful? With the truck I had before the taco I hauled a load of rock and had the gate up when the dude was putting it in with a front end loader. Scratched the heck out of the paint on the tailgate. Adds character I guess, but I was still kinda mad.

I have the rear spring tsb and was super pleased with how it handled a load I hauled a while back.

Yeah the guy in the loader was good, and the bucket he was using was not too big (only a half yard) so very few stones missed the bed.

Cool, hauled about 1500 lbs of paper to a recycle place in mine once. Rode better than I expected, didn't bottom but was lookin at sky wondering about wheelie bars the whole way, lol.

 

I have the exact same truck color and all only 2010. Have you had the TSB? Also, what size tires are those? Thanks.

My truck was bought in Canada, so it came from the factory with the overload leaf "TSB".

I have stock size tires, 245/75/R16. I plan on buying 265/75/R16 when these are worn out. I hope they will give the truck a better stance, and it won't look too bad when I lift it with 5100's and an AAL.
