Today I installed the transmission from IPT. It’s nice to have 5th gear again!

 

A 5th gear is good but I want to know about 1st through 4th

 

I didn’t drive it too much yesterday, but it seems to shift a little quicker and a little firmer than stock. Very similar to what my original transmission was like with the RatioTek kit. Except now I have 5th gear back.

I think my original trans had some other issues since even before the supercharger.

It’s hard to describe. But it’s like the original trans wanted to skip 4th and go straight from 3rd to 5th at times and then changed its mind and went back to 4th. I thought it was just normal, but this one doesn’t seem to do that.

 

Carved out a little time early today and got the winch bolted on.

70mm FJ throttle body with URD adapter.

When combining 7th injector and throttle body adapter you have to extend the coolant lines to the throttle body.

When changing throttle bodies, disconnect the battery for several minutes. This causes the ECM to re-learn throttle valve angle for proper idle speed. If you install a larger throttle body and don’t disconnect the battery, the truck will idle high. In my case, it was 1100 RPM.

 

Upgraded from the TRD 455 c/min orange injectors to Siemens Deka 640 cc/min injectors. Moar fule.



Intake ports fairly clean. Maybe the catch can helps with that.


While the blower was off, swapped to

$11 IKH24 Denso 5346 Spark Plug

IKH24 plugs. 1 step colder.

 

Bought an axe and shovel a while back. They’ve been rolling around in the bed. Finally got them mounted up to the accessory rail with some quick fist mounts.

 

Have you put it on a dyno? Curious what your whp is up to.

 

Still haven’t gotten around to it. One of these days I need to. Hoping for something north of 350.

 

With all you have done I think you might be around 375+

Digging the build. Does that idatalink plug into the OBDII port to the gauge info and is that a native app on the head unit that displays them? Looking to get a similar setup.

 

Thanks. Yes, the iDatalink plugs into the OBD2 port. I think all radios with an iDatalink port have the ability to display these screens.
