    Thats my curiousity. which is lowest profile? I have a 16 now without one, but upgrading in august and want one on the new one.

    I have a 17 with a avs bugflector II
    stupid thing damaged my truck. I have contacted them and they have agreed to fix my truck and send me any replacement model i want. i am thinkin about the aeroskin II.
    It rubbed the paint on the edge lip of my hood but it also hits the grille surround before clicking shut so it has caused damage on one side. Total bummer

    I purchased and installed on a Lund (Interceptor Wrap Bug Shield) on my 17 in June, right after I bought the truck. Very pleased, just be careful and follow the install directions carefully.

    The Lund had protective film that you apply at the the hood attachment point to protect paint, seems to have worked so far.

    I dry fitted the weather tech low profile, I'd be surprised if anything is lower than that.

    I have a avs bug deflector 2, I like the 2 because it is about a 1/2" higher and the higher it is the more bugs and etc off the windshield.
    I have not had any rubbing and I have not used the little bumpers they have supplied. :oldglory:

    Must be. Just a layer of tinted plastic is all it is.lays completly flat.

    I think that the truth is that it is a really precise fit that AVS is aiming for. I feel that I got lucky on mine but I can see how just a few millimeters can be the difference between a satisfied customer and an agitated one. The problem is also that once you take off the plastic wrap and install, it can sometimes be difficult to return if you are not happy with the fit.

    Mine had a twist in the plastic from factory.
    It made a notch in my grille surround and put some scratches in the lip edge of the hood.
    Company manned up and is accepting responsibility and replacing damaged parts.
