I dont need mine all the time but hate the placement of the switch. Looking at finding a way to mount a button/switch on the shift knob but look factory. Similar to many that have the overdrive button on shifter??? Wishful thinking? Probably :notsure:

What's it worth to you having to push the button all over again?:p
cake. I could modify a stock shift Knob with a custom flush mounted button. Have a pigtail extension that plugs into where the stock ECT button was. This is actually easier than my ECT on all the time mod

    Sooooo...

That would leave the original ECT button available for other uses? Say, lights?

Judging by the fervor in here I'd say...1000 bucks should do it. ;-)

But for real this truck's time with me is limited now that the Subaru Ascent is coming, so this mod will find a new home.

i posted similar months ago, i was thinking that back button but anywhere on the steering wheel would be the best place.

I have a PRO shift knob inbound to disassemble and play around with. I kind of like this idea because it's stealth and i can eliminate the ECT button on the dash(freeing up a switch hole).
    We'll see..

I'm pretty sure he will keep the on all the time mod as well.

    Pro/stock trd, whichever works best...

It will look stock still. You'll just have an extra switch space.

Would the intention be to have the pigtail inline so that the dash button still functions in addition to the shifter mounted button?
Kind of like a remote turn on switch.
