Sold: Dakars with AAL (Phoenix AZ)

Up for sale is my old Frankenstein leaf pack. Dakars minus one leaf but added an AAL. The Dakars alone didn’t really give me the look I wanted with my RTT, steel rack, and a bed full of loaded coolers, it was perfectly level. I wanted an inch or two of rake with a full load so I added an AAL. It bounced the rear up pretty good and gave me some rake, but I ended up selling off my tent set up and started carrying an empty bed. The rake was pretty high with carrying no weight so I’ve downgraded to a normal leafpack with AAL in preparation for selling the truck in the spring.

We do Moab sometimes. I upgraded to 5125s when I added these. Not sure about exact mileage. Maybe 25k max with no sign of sagging.

I highly suggest upgrading rear leafs with a RTT. I knew a guy who didn’t and his rear end dropped an inch or two. It was a bad look on stock suspension. I ran a mid height steel rack, RTT, a bed full of coolers, and a steel bumper with this leafpack. I still had an inch or so of rake when fully loaded. It was perfect.

 

I’ll give you a deal on the leaf springs and a set of bed stiffeners if you’re interested.
